My friend just got wigged out when I she saw black candles in my room and went on about how it attracts evil entities lol. I like the way they look and this scent it gives is just so sensual.
Are any wiccans lurking around? I mean if wrapping away a candle brings more positivity I wouldn't be so opposed the idea.. but then again.. black cats are considered bad luck too and I just got a black kitten :P

Why wrap the candles away. They shouldn't attract amything evil by themselves. The only way I could see them attracting something bad is if you preform black magic with them or perhaps attempt to summon something that's not so pleasant.
Whoever started that superstition about black cats being unlucky should be strung up and flogged.

Some Wiccans would say black actually sends evil energy away by drawing it into itself and burning it away. However, I think most Wiccans (unless in a silly mood) would tell your friend to not to mistake B-rated horror movies for documentaries.
