It was a stripper AND prostitute thread. It's not the type of topic I want here. Past experience shows that these topics can't be discussed maturely. Live and learn. In the future, contact me. Don't keep making new threads to convey a message to me.

New members, new thoughts.
Also gender threads never get discussed right but you always allow them posted. :{

I've closed some of them. The difference is that the subject matter for gender discussions is appropriate for the Forum. Things just got off topic. With this topic, it's a quick and fast descent.

Not meaning to derail Randall's intention, however feel it educational to point out that in my first stint in College

Virtually every literate female, no not all, loved the Geisha narrative..something about the ideal of being feminine and adored w/o sex attached.

I've encountered that a bit, later on the Vagina Monologues was then the ideal.

Oh, context being everything, at that time got to know strippers, they'd suggest that book I'd point out the Book of Five Rings, we had a grand time..in between Bachelor Party morons and faux plastic surgeons

Found out the "why" Micheal Jackson's nose job collapsed, had to do with cartilage and structure and shape

Eh, whadda I know

On my heart a bit, while we can chuckle a bit over all of the absurdities of life and socio sexual politics

Do have to wonder, would a Feminist forum be appropriate. Think about it fellow Higwayman:

Two men are chuckling a bit over a prostitution/stripper OP, which is our right to do. It's a wee..tiny..bit dismissive of the OP's original question.

Granted, women can go in on each other in a way that would make drunken wolverines envious of the viciousness involved..still and all..I also think perhaps it would take some heat off of Sweat Peas and boiling cauldron that it can become at times.

Allow me to add, many forums have a no bleed over rule, what happens usually in politco forums is meant to be on the politico forum and no where else on the forum

Food for thought..or not

The two careers are legal in places. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_the_United_States
Additionally stripping is not always a dark and sleezy thing.
The hypocrisy of some people;
who endorse such as "Hooters",
but condemn stripping/strippers.
The "singing telegram strippers" are often a scream to say the least.
Prostitution is a bit more difficult for most to accept.
Funny, because those same folks often think an escort service is just fine.
Often there is not really a difference sex wise, just more expensive and escorts and clients are usually more screened/background check and so forth.
And stripper or "escort" are not exclusively female careers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chippendales
OK;
since saying things about these topics is a taboo;
I shall leave you with the above brief observations.

I'm ambivalent Lexxi, meaning there are some clear "duh" things then there are paths that lead to very dark places.

Neither are discussed very often

Which to me is a ripe and fertile ground for respectful conversation and not just go Monkey x3

Suspect one of my few advantages in this world is I've seen both sides of it all

Must point out, your posts are normally so strident, I tend to look them over.

How much bile and hatred and twistedness can one deal with?

Ohhh..Mom is a diabetic, has tonnes and tonnes of supplies that will go stale, would be happy happy to ship insulin (been in the fridge) needles etc to you!!!!

She has been at a recovery center for two months now

Not a fan of waste when a simple question would suffice

Yeah,
both are topics that are hard for folks to discuss.
And sorry you find my posts hostile or whatever usually.
I do not post much any longer.
It is not worth my precious time to beat dead horses.

On the diabetic supplies;
I am OK here;
Medicare/Medicaid/Obamacare are helping in ways I never anticipated!
So my 2 injections of insulin and another injection of a diabetic med are covered.
Otherwise I would be screwed big time as no way could I afford any of it plus my other medical costs.
Thank you nevertheless for your kind offer.
Won't your mom need her syringes and all?

Lexxi, I NEVER doubt your pain, I do doubt your point tho.

Good to hear that your supplies are in order, last I recall there was a bit of a struggle

Do agree on the Dichotomy which would make it a ripe area of discussion, however also think Feminism as I know it is a bit of a circular firing squad more concerned with $$$ then dealing with issues

An old, but true song what would you do?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LahcSFleKm8&feature=kp

I do apologize for the ads

"..to sleep with a man for a lil bit of money"?

Or stop making excuses and just get on with life?

THAT is hidden from me

Or perhaps it is not hidden from me, rather the answer is not where I am

Just noticed Lexxi, no not really, she is at a rehab center and being her stubborn self, and her needles and test strips et al are just auto shipped

She'd absolutely adore you BTW, she very much is a jealous Piscesian heart

There are tons of young people on here as well

so

I agree with Randall the last thing we should do is educate minors,if they already know let's not give them ideas to try at home.

Linda didn't approve of the Descent media takes in forcefeeding sex into minds that haven't properly accessed Love yet.

When that happens in the wrong sequence, it is difficult to put Right.

Aww..for "educational purposes only"

You are no fun...

Allow me to expand that a bit, there are ideas and realities that are uncomfortable for the majority to discuss, and yet the reality..remains

Stripping, prostitution etc, are one of those realities

That cracked me up. Even growing up in the Bible Belt everybody already knew about things like that and I don't see a LL thread giving how-to tips. I vaguely recall a song boys taught me when I was 6 that went something like this:

There’s a place in France,
Where the naked ladies dance.
There’s a hole in the wall
Where the men can watch it all

(Can't recall if there was more to it or not.)

'Course that was nothing compared to the "grosser than gross" jokes (one involving having sex with a pregnant lady) or even the rhyme I learned from girls when I think I was 10:

"We must, we must, we must
do something to improve our bust.
The bigger the better
the tighter the sweater
the boys depend on us!"

Therefore, it cracked me up on reading that we shouldn't "give them ideas."

But this did remind me of a conversation I had a month or so ago. I don't know the guy well at all, but he's something of an opinionated diva who will talk to anyone if you give him the chance and I was feeling social that day. Rather than bore you with details I'll just skip to the end where he romanticized his childhood (70s/80s) and blamed modern TV for the "explosion" in teen pregnancy (not sure where he got that from since the rate has generally been getting lower rather than higher) and said that he didn't even know what sex was until he was a teen.

Gobsmacked by that I asked him where he'd thought babies came from.

He didn't answer, instead he went on about how he didn't have sex rubbed in his face. I pointed out I spent the first few years of my life on a farm with thin walls, that's how we learned what sex was and probably have for thousands of years now, at least to the point of where babies came from (even if I did think the roosters were trying to kill the chickens for too long before Granny explained it to me and told me to stop "saving" the chickens before I got mauled by an angry rooster). But he was so offended that he just left me with a curt "goodbye."

Ever since then I've been trying not to let it bug me how someone could reach 13 without knowing sex existed. I had forgotten it a couple of weeks ago but your reply reminded me of it. Did you not know about sex before you were 13? If not, where did you think babies came from?

This is genuine curiosity on my part, my Scorpio Jupiter really wants to understand. Saying "I didn't even think about it" is one thing (though I was such a curious child that's hard for me to comprehend), or whatever. I know there's a story of the stork that brings babies, though then the obvious question becomes "why?" And I saw an anime clip in which a female character thought you could get pregnant from kissing and I suppose a child could believe that, but then what about were kittens and puppies come from? And were such kids scared to kiss relatives for fear of pregnancy?

Ah PJ..we must have some synastry or something b/c that is exactly what was on my mind in all of this.

I believe so many problems in personal lives are based around the mystification of sex and how ppl wind up having sex

Lucky you with the chickens, cats are much much louder, wildcats are like "YOLO!!!"

LOL

I guess my one chance of trying to sound a bit mature blew up in my face,yet in my defense i didn't want to say something that might make some 16 year trolling end up having to go to the walk in clinic because he got his Mango's caught in something i would have suggested for some reason.

PJ i think i/we as a society are aware of sex a lot earlier than we all would like to believe to be quite honest,i think we all manage to have a few moments where we realize what exactly sex is but we haven't fully gotten the entire picture but we're close.

Yet we...jingle/tingle the ivories and think it's normal at that age...if it feels good and is normal then do it.

I'm glad i could crack you and padre up...i laughed out loud with Padre response,i just have the time now to respond to it.

Unless the educational purposes only wasn't meant for me...than padre i apologize.

I took sex ed in 5th grade. I am still guilty of thinking of intercourse until I was about 15 or 16 and I thought it was like rubbing a hotdog against a hotdog bun.

I apologize if that's considered graphic lol.

I started reading lemon fanfiction about that age, as well as some swanky harlequin romance novels too( my mom knew I read a lot and one of her friends was giving away a ton of romance books to her. She had no interest and took them for me), so there goes the latter half of my sexual education lol.

Karka,

You're not of legal age to engage in either and the legalities of engaging in a conversation with a minor over such matters, assuming the legality of prostitution in select jurisdictions, is rather questionable. It's simply against the law in most US jurisdictions to discuss these matters with you.
