Chiemi & Bella, thank you for the votes in the petition. I had a feeling it would be a lost cause. A new and better thread has come from it all though. Hope to see you there. <3

Ellyn & Violets, thank you for the belated birthday wishes in the locked thread. Beautiful pic Ellyn!

My Moon and Ascendant are Taurean. We have to have something Venusian touching us somewhere.

what do feminists have to do with it??
Seems to me that someone had a tipple before reading the thread and got his message a little garbled. Fine and good to ask for personal reflections, but just as easy to offer some thoughts on the text and get those personal reflections started than to jump on someone for posting something as an opening gambit?

However I suspect Padre didn't mean to sound quite as belligerent as he came across, we can all relate to that mebbe?

As to Cadillacs I used to think they were "old lady" and/or "drug dealer" cars UNTIL my 18 year old daughter bought one, used, with her graduation money...drove it on a winding hilly beach road one day and was AHmazed at how well it handled...more Maserati than boat...

edit: just saw the petition thread. guess he did mean it. still not sure why, because women are talking, it is a feminist issue, Padre?

At the moment Catalina, freedom of conscience is very much on my mind, the robotic element to conversations horrifies me

I hope it was a good one! I'm sorry I missed the thread in LL 2.0...guess I need to get in there more often than I have been.

I was just wondering that, too.

Feels like Eris is doing something to LL's chart.

Yeah, seriously.

I'm really curious as well, because I don't think Mercury in itself is doing much right now...?

Mercury's in the pre-shadow phase.
It'll go retro in a week, on June 7 (well, stationary at first, and then retro).

Nothing much going on with Eris. It's now at 23° Aries (LL's Eris is at 19° Aries. It doesn't move much).

Transiting Saturn is in applying square to LL's Uranus (1°) -- that's probably where all the trouble is coming from, among other things.

You are awesome. But of course that goes without saying.

Having Uranus and Pluto squaring my natal Saturn, I can empathize. Ugh. Outer planets. Go away already!

It's out of bounds.

The Grand Cross just came back into formation, what with the Moon hitting Jupiter last night.

Actually, Mercury was the only thing that was in a positive sense of late.

Wait... I meant to say that Uranus is square my Saturn (by about 3 degrees), and Pluto is opposite my Saturn. Not both square. Ugh. Too many transits to keep track of.

Jupiter has moved forward OUT of the cross. There is a tsquare although Mars is still pretty stationary at 9* while pluto and Uranus are several degrees further along now. The moon may have filled that part of cancer, but as always, for a brief few moments...

This is part of what the articles T posted were talking about. When people misbehave or don't get along, it is easy to point to the stars as "doing it"...however this dynamic has been going on at LL for about 4 years now, and the stars have changed and changed again...

ROTFL!

I don't know what happened, why is this thread unlocked? Didn't Randall see who started it?

@Padre:

You are way too caustic about people quoting other people. It's just a common mode of communication, attributing ideas to the people who may have inspired one's own line of thinking. To see value in others' thoughts, and to credit them for it, is natural.

Do you subscribe to a myth that your mind remains separate from all other minds, and do you attach a kind of value of purity to that state of non-interaction? Then why talk to anyone at all? Because, in that scenario, merely listening becomes a weakness and a potential form of contamination...if, for example, some wisdom comes from another person and takes root in you...you are "poisoned" with non-originality! Or you can just pretend the idea was yours all along....which is a kind of self-delusion....and that is generally subjected to worse scrutiny than quoting people is.

----

Bonus quote for all you quote lovers out there!!!

"As if no one ever tried before, try to say what you see and feel and love and lose."
-Rilke

^ Padre have you been plagiarizing Rilke?! LOL

Despite my occasional quoting...and how that supposedly indicates I have no brain of my own ...no one can accuse me of just stupidly putting my A-OK stamp on everything I see. Right? In fact, I think I've gotten a reputation for doing quite the opposite! Which puts a big dent in Padre's theory that quoters can't think for themselves!

I actually want to "quote" somebody else now...a singer (because, of course, lyrics are things you quote) and I'll put a big fat unabashed DITTO to this sentiment! How I feel about people giving their actual, blunt opinions:

Faith,

This thread was supposed to be Part 2 of the spirituality discussion but got derailed by clowns, freedom of conscience, and LL's chart.

The new one obviously got closed, which I'm bummed about because I wanted to hear T's thoughts on everyone's posts and continue the discussion. It was getting good!

IDK, the T and Padre35 saga is over so probably should just move on. I get what you are saying though.
