This is why the most powerful thing that can be said is I forgive you

That is where it begins Randall, the more one walks down that path, the more it becomes clear others need forgiveness as well

The recounting of the aftermath of the Genocide in Rwanda are massively instructive and uplifting

Lindaland is a safe haven for all of us. This is where my heart is.

We are allowed to have our own opinions, our own likes and dislikes. If you find yourself not agreeing with a topic or with someone you dislike who is posting, you have the option of leaving the thread.
What you can't do is be disrespectful.

I love Ami, I've known her since she arrived here and I see no reason why she doesn't deserve the respect allotted to each and every member here.

FireMoon, I agree with you on Obamacare, I'm not a Democrat, I'm a LIBERAL but just like we have the right to our own political views, so do the Republicans ( my favorite people here)

T~ Sweet, kind, and considerate. Another member I love and think highly of, I notice you're not posting even though this is your thread. I'm sorry it was derailed.

EllynIvx~ I like the way you stay above the drama another perfect Mod (along with Ms Juni)

BellaFenice~ I have a soft spot for people who respect President Obama's agenda.

anonymidarkness~ I like your Astro posts.

quote:
Yeah right because only you are allowed to be negative.
I and many others including some mods are tired of this passive aggressive crap from you madame. Fayte/Lexx/Lexxigramer

Not this Mod, and when it comes to passive/aggressive you are the Queen.

I got wise to you during the whole Kindred Spirits fiasco, you remember that don't you? You were part of that secret website that voted on whether current LL members were worthy of joining your "club" where you trashed and made fun of various members here. Do you remember that? I'm sure if you go to our archives you can find the whole lurid story to refresh your memory, June 2005 right? When your username was Fayte is that correct?
After what you did, you have no room to criticize others.

Randall~ Sorry, I strive to live up to your standards, but I hate hypocrisy.

can we all just be part of the same family and like and/or respect each other?

It's okay that it got derailed, I know how it feels to have to blow off steam here sometimes. There's only so long you can hold stuff in, or so long that you can say them nicely and have the gripes go unheard or get ignored or blown off or agitated further by others for their own amusement.

My water heater blew recently, it blew a fissure in a small area at the seam on the side. A slow leak sprang from it and it became a minor disaster that I could not get taken care of until the next morning. People feel like that sometimes and there's only so long a problem can be ignored [or go unnoticed] before it erupts, or springs a leak, blows a fuse and whathaveyou.

As I was reading through this earlier I thought about how there had to be a way or ways to go about fixing it. I've a few ideas but they are only ideas right now and probably would not work for a number of reasons. I think the problems are too far gone and deep now. Like my old waterheater that had to be thrown out.....

At this point I think it would take a professional, some sort of superpowerful, dyfunctional-family counselor psychotherapist to sort the mess out here. And that is not going to happen.

While not for everybody, a good psychiatrist may be a useful tool for those who’ve had their head shoved up a vortex for so long that airy-fairyness is all they know . Not to be confused with a Third-Level Reiki Master or an implant removal specialist, such a psychiatrist must be a skilled deprogrammer—preferably with Moonie experience and a list of credible references. He or she must not be afraid of wearing black and be comfortable with death. If a woman, she shouldn’t be running with wolves of any kind; if a man, fire should be kept at least 100 yards away from his belly. He or she must also have a keen nose for incense and be hip to less flagrant newageoholic behaviors, such as Affirmation Abuse, Pastlife Aggression and Karmic Deficit Disorder. Finally, this therapist should allow you to quit therapy at any time without making you feel that there won’t be enough dog food for her little Freudo.

But even a psychiatrist cannot help us unless we agree to help ourselves. One way to do this is to give up the notion that the Elohim Board of Universal Governance wants to return our long lost strands of DNA so Bill Gates doesn’t become President. Ordinary thinking starts when we burn our ascension manuals and cancel our subscriptions to Lightworker Today. Action is when we admit our tantric facilitators don’t really have extended orgasms. Action is acknowledging that it takes more than Braggs Amino Acids to save the world.

In Step Three we learn to lower our higher selves and have fun in the nearest dimensional reality (i.e., Earth). Some important early disciplines for becoming small and inconsequential include spending time alone, balancing a checkbook and discussing a current event.

Yet, acting without spiritual superiority is scary, for it forces us to return to the days before yurts and geodesic domes. As our lower selves admit to knowing the names of cabinet members and senators, we further alienate our former friends, and soon, we are waking up alone rather than with our seminar leader in a Marin hot tub. Our own soap operas began to shadow the struggles of others. We see ourselves as slaves to sun signs, New Age astro-nots. Terror wells up inside. Our guru gone, we are an inconsequential blip in the screen of life.

And this is the perfect demotion of consciousness. Without an un-awakening of this magnitude, we will never be safe from blue green algae pasta and John-Travolta-as-a-disheveled-angel movies. Yes, we are tested at every turn (no one said it would be easy to withstand the death throes of a Higher Power), until, finally we see that it takes more than Cherokee jewelry to solve our problems. To big for our mandalas, we grow embarrassed at the names we gave ourselves, at the retreat leaders we’ve slept with, at the way we groveled for a massage.

Luckily, the pain and suffering of unhealing isn’t terminal; in fact, thanks to the fellowship of NAA, we have first hand examples of those who’ve successfully overcome their multi-dimensia. Sure our hardship is more pronounced when we can’t blame an astrological square for our flat tire—but we also gain power and confidence as we do lower self stuff (such as burping) in public. As our lower resources increase, we overthrow the tyrannical Higher Power who was driving us to carrot juice. We scoff at group oms and instead let out silent-but-deadlies in the supermarket without worrying about the karma of singed nose hairs.

Now, with Step Three behind us and only nine steps from complete recovery, we are ready to bring our lives and our will into pedestrian alignment. My will, not thine, be done.

He says there's a glitch in the system so he can't permanently ban me. It would cost him $50 to "extract" me, his words.

I am not worth $50 i guess.

TBH I am more shocked that Ami hasnt offered to loan him the money to do so yet.

Holy shIIIT!! this article is hilarious.

quote:
The next morning everything was going as I'd planned. She had taken off her clothes and was lying on my light beam generator with goggles over her eyes. I had my Kirlian camera set up to photograph her internal aura, when her husband stormed into the room.

"Vat are jou doing vith my vife?" he shouted, his eyes boring holes in the walls. "Vat? Vat iz that thing? Vat are jou doing vife? Vat are jou doing?"

Before either of us could answer, he picked up my life-size copper meditation pyramid and smashed it with his bare fists. He then came at me with my ozone machine. I did my best to out maneuver him, but yoga was no match for his reptilian brute, and the next thing I knew, I was lying in a hospital bed with an extra hole inside from the ozone tube he tried to shove up my butt. [/B]

Looks like this guy had all kinds of "New Age" fun, before someone shoved ozone tube up his butt ROFL!!! I actually wouldn't mind swapping places with him, before that "ozone tube part" happens ofcourse.

Idk, for me it's not about policing a mod, but rather making sure users feel they not only have a voice, but that their voice is protected by someone. The fact that Lexxi, a mod in her own forum doesn't feel she can fully express herself is a little problematic to me.

That is where much of the frustration some of the posters feel comes from. Statistically speaking, Ami is by far the most active mod on this particular forum, which naturally creates a bias. I think adding another mod, I personally think two are needed, will help with this as it will create a more realistic picture of what is going on versus the divide I have witnessed.

I might post my ideas later but honestly I don't feel like I have a voice or at least one that is as loud as some here. I tend to challenge authority too much.

T, you aren't worth the $50 extraction. You're at least $51, don't sell yourself short.

The solution is quite simple. Just make it a rule that Mods can't diss one another. We already have the rule that a Mod can't close or move another Mod's threads. When Knowflakes see Mods going at each other, it sets the bar for the rest of the site.

I was on my way to the FB page to say this but then I was not sure, so I didn't. If we have this rule, a Mod could be able to disagree with another one in the spirit of disagreement but not rants, maybe. It would have to be defined in some workable way. It would take away freedom of speech, to a degree, but would it be worth it? That would be the question?

The Mods not closing Mod threads has worked out great! This one rule has saved a lot of contention.

I know you are wise before you implement things and I would love to hear opinions on this. I am on the fence. I can see the wisdom of it but I hate any censure of Free Speech. I am a total free speech nut but this is a community and not a US rule, obviously, too.

That's not a solution, that's just more suppression. And when everything is suppressed, it festers and ferments. Then explodes. Which is what you see happening here lately...uncontainable explosions.

I think it's cruel to even suggest to Lexx that she keep bottling up her indignation about Ami. It's like, why not just place a gag over her mouth?

The way you tried to gag me, by flying off the handle at me?

And isn't Charmaine being gagged, in a way? Like she has to zip her lip for your sake, for your honor, even though you don't seem to care about her honor...it's glaringly obvious that you think her opinions about Ami (and probably other matters) are just worthless. You still praise Ami to high heaven after you caught her trashing your girlfriend! WTF? No justice for the love of your life?

No really....I'd say this is none of my business, but I talked to Charmaine for a long time and really like her...and when it gets to the point that she is crying out for help here in public, to the point of feeling suicidal, there is no room for BS anymore...and we cannot help but notice! And despite all these gags...some of us know beyond a shadow of doubt what part of the problem is. She has made it clear. And we know who's not taking responsibility for it...we know who is just piling load after load on Charmaine's back just because she is kind and willing to go to great lengths for the people she loves. That's no excuse to load her down!

SO MANY of us have clashed with Ami, but you refuse to look at the size of the crowd, Randall.

Just because you are the webmaster doesn't automatically mean you are doing a good job. Just because you pick someone to be a mod doesn't automatically mean they are doing a good job...you think you have the Midas touch or something? This is foolishness.

I'd say this is nothing worth getting worked up about, but people's lives are really being impacted by it!

You invite people to come here to talk about sensitive issues and yet set it up so that frustration teems over constantly. That is reprehensible. Now we aren't following your golden rule: "Ignore, ignore, ignore" anymore...so maybe that's your sign to re-examination your tactics.

All this trouble just so you can keep Ami as a mod, and keep yourself happily deluded that she's doing a good job. Totally ridiculous.

----

T, I'm sorry if this gets locked.

I won't post here again, everyone has my word, so there's no need to lock it just to keep me at bay. I'm gone.
