I'm glad the victim survived.The news stories ought to mention whether or not the child perpetrators of serious crimes were taking psychiatric medications. It's a key piece of the story...the wrong meds, wrong doses, can really screw up people's minds. IP: Logged |

I sometimes wish something monumental would happen to humanity where we were left no other choice but to go back to square 1 and help eachother to survive. I lied. I wish this all the time! I would gladly give 30 years of my life only to see it all starting over, fresh. I could die happy then. I can't comment on what I woud have done had these been my children because I think the pain is unimaginable for the victim's parents and the perpetrators. IP: Logged |

For a time, I was stuck on stories in which young children attacked and killed other children.I wonder if those two girls had a history of violence, meaning they were beaten or repeatedly exposed to violence in person? I'm not sure I believe that sensationalized media is responsible for a lot of influence on kids.. Heck, I'm not sure about anything. But yeah, this is sad. IP: Logged |

How sad... Although miraculous that the girl has survived. I hope she recovers as well as can be expected. My son has talked about Slender Man before.

Personally, I think that abuse from parents and/or other family members lends itself to the "lone wolf" mindset. Working in a "team" such as this, I feel come more from having witnessed things from the "outside" . There can even have been a situation where children have been "taught" their actions by just watching..latter would be a different kind of abuse, of course. I mean, there are some EXTREMELY horrid websites out there and children are very intelligent..and media have an immense power over humans, not only the younger generation. IP: Logged |
