Loners and hermits who describe yourselves as anti-social, are you sure? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-social_behavior http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial_personality_disorder I suppose the word asocial would fit your situation better? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asociality Inspired by my annoyance ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I've never described myself as antisocial, or asocial for that matter. Although I'm probably mildly asocial.I enjoy interacting with other people, minimally. I like random conversations with strangers while I'm out and about, and then I can go on about my business. My Aqua Mercury makes me quite chatty, but I'm not much for forced interactions with other people. Family visiting is usually pleasant for me, I often enjoy the company (depending on everyone's mood, sometimes I definitely do not). And I have a few friends (literally a few) who I actually enjoy spending time with and talking to. That's about it, though. Y'all know where to find my Saturn. IP: Logged |

Anti social is not having a preference for being alone. It's more about antagonizing others. I know someone who accuses me of being anti social just because I like to be alone. As far as I am concerned, he's anti social toward me for bothering me about liking to be alone.IP: Logged |

Yep. I should've mentioned the people who call others that way too. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

I come from a family of asocial people and I'm that way, too. Maybe it's the genes? My mom's side of the family like curling up with their books or watching their favorite shows and movies rather than going out partying. IP: Logged |

Saturn 11th here too, plus 12th house stuff and Pluto first on asc. I prefer to be alone with loved ones. I hate to sit in the middle of rooms. I hate the store in the afternoon. Too busy. I hate meaningless conversation. But... I can be social. The ability is there but like when bosses come by and make chit chat... I swear they know I just want them to run along and leave me be.

Yeah, I think the Saturn in 11th thing is actually really strong for those of us who have it. I don't fit in with just every group of people, nor do I enjoy just anyone's company.Strong Pluto here as well, and I confess that I often find that my vexation stems from feeling like people are often quite vapid. That probably sounds kind of arrogant, but...well, whatever. They're probably not, but perhaps just my perception. I don't mind chatting with supervisors, but I have other placements that make work the most sociable place for me, almost always. Or...like-minded groups of people, like the people I find here. Yes exactly. The supervisor thing is because they are kind of pushed into "knowing us" and being our friends in a way. But I'm not into fake things. I'd rather have real criticism than fake friendliness. At least it's something that I can use. lol Anyway... I can't communicate sometimes but I think you get it. IP: Logged |

Yep. Although I can be really sociable when I'm out at a show, seeing a band I like, that type of thing, But I think that falls under the category of "like minded people", and also strangers. Never have to see them again or feel obligated to answer my phone for them, ha. My Leo Asc will take over somewhat frequently, if I'm comfortable. Otherwise it's the Cancer Saturn/11th. Then I retreat back into my shell. IP: Logged |

Interesting! I do like big crowds, like if I'm downtown or something, at the market (NOT to be confused with the grocery store, which I do not like at all), or seeing a band I like, as I mentioned. But I think that I mostly prefer big crowds of diverse people because I can get "lost" in them, so to speak. And then if I choose to have a conversation with someone I can, and then go on about my business. My Leo Asc/Aqua Mercury likes that sort of thing, and then I like to come back home to my cozy space. Although today, with the full moon coming on, I opted to go for a drive out to the Buddhist monastery instead, and smell the rain in the trees. IP: Logged |

Aw, thanks. I like those types of crowds as well, depending on where I'm at. If it's a crowded strip mall I'll pass, haha. But then, I avoid places like that anyway, so... Downtown Seattle and Pike Place Market are really nice and enjoyable in that sense. So many different types of people, from all walks of life. There are often tourists there, which can either be fun or mildly annoying, depending on how fast they choose to walk, ha. IP: Logged |

Although the Leo AC still loves the attention of a birthday get together, despite the Pisces Sun/Virgo Moon...but yeah. Singing "Happy Birthday". Uhm... Can I just blow out the candles and make a wish...?Or people who whistle tunes or sing out loud for no apparent reason. IP: Logged |
