Pages 18 and 19 of The Looking For A Mod thread have lost at least 15 out of 28 posts.
This makes those pages near worthless because much content and context was lost.
Charmaine posted later after it was supposed to closed.

Since then her post has vanishes and more other ones.
These two pages are so one sided and weird with over 1/2 the relevant posts gone missing. (some 15 out of 28 so far)
I have copies if anyone wants to see the missing parts.
Without those, these two pages are very incomplete to say the least.
Relevant comments and replies are gone.

Are the glitchings fixed?
Is this going on elsewhere in other forums?

It was glitching, Lexx. Randall explained on FB. I locked the thread after the last time it opened and has stayed closed since.

Don't fret. It alarmed me too.It seems ok now.

Thank you Charmaine
It was depressing to see at least 15 good posts/replies vanish.
I felt as did others it seemed;
that the air was being cleared at last and things would become peaceful finally.
Sadly the relevant posts are gone and the two pages are not complete but rather warped and important good things lost.

Yes except for edits by Ami;
yes I got to see the content and hope all the kind folks
who posted to me with love and support also saw my heartfelt replies to them before it all vanished.
Too bad the pages are missing lots of important content.

All righty.

That's why Barbie started that nice thread for you.

Well at least it isn't only this forum that was affected.

I wasn't going to say anything, because I don't think these type of people should be given any attention, but what was going on is a "bot" (or perhaps more than one) was posting many multiple times at once (phantom posts, as they are not approved, so the posts do not complete), creating a high load on the server. I'm still not sure why only one or a few threads are affected when the load is high, though. Nothing in tech is truly random; there is a reason and explanation for evrything, even if we don't know what it is. This could have been an attack (sort of) or just a super aggressive SPAMbot, but I fixed it by requiring 60 second intervals between postings. No one has complained since then, so I can see that 60 seconds probably isn't a problem for legitimate users, Mods are exempt across the whole board. I think this blocked the bot(s). *try saying that real fast ten times* I'm just filling everyone in on what happened. I wasn't trying to be secretive. I just don't like giving public attention to these matters.

Sorry to be a disappointment.
It just gets frustrating when it happens during serious times and not less serious times.
May we close the thread and put this issue to rest?
