If you had to give tips to someone who felt very low self esteem on how to raise it, what would you say?------------------

It's hard to say coz I think it depends on the person's circumstances. I honestly wouldn't know what to say to a person who's been victimised in every way since birth, or someone who's in a very critical situation without much love n support from others. But yeah, in general I'd say that to raise self esteem the person has to acknowledge that he/she has a lot of good qualities. So I'd probably suggest the person to really reflect on his/her strengths n weaknesses, what to enhance and what to "fix". And minimise self-deprecating talk such as "I'm not worthy of...etc..." or "I'm a loser"...etc... I've met people who are very dead set of achieving perfection, criticise themselves a lot and hence suffer low self-esteem. With these , idk I'd probably suggest that sometimes, they may want to try seeing minor flaws as a part of life.

Be positive
Be humble.
Respect yourself first.
Realize there are people out there with less than you have who are very content and happy with their lives and with what they have.
Don't compare yourself to anyone else but yourself.
Realize that you are living proof of a purpose. You wouldn't have been born if that were true. IP: Logged |

Develop your skills, know a subject, thoroughly.
If they don't know their skills I'd have them sign up for an instructional course in a subject they like, nothing more than 6 months. And I'd have them stick with it to completion. After that I'd reassess with them what worked and what didn't, where they want to go from there.Reaching goals helps. Worthwhile goals. But in the beginning any bit helps. The hardest thing is getting their mind on track, committing to their own betterment and putting the negative or the challenges in perspective. IP: Logged |

Force yourself to laugh, often! Esp when you feel terrible, even if it sounds so fake and stupid keep forcing yourself I swear within minutes you'll feel so strange and crazy that you will genuinely be laughing at yourself.
Laughing raises your energy vibrations and even if it's momentary it opens the connection to your higher self.Self esteem is an ego issue, it feels it's lost it's way, it's actually just lost it's connection to the way to the higher self. Without that we forgot that we are really a big deal!! We have no reason to feel bad, I mean we are a part of Gods grand scheme, divine purpose and will....that's HUGE!! IP: Logged |

Develop your skills, know a subject, thoroughly.Being able to offer the skill of Astrology has brought me so much happiness. It is such a gift to a person to help them with their chart. I am in about 15 Astrology study groups and we have a wonderful love vibe in many of them just from the sharing of our charts. We have a love vibe here, too, when we really get into sharing deeply about ourselves. ------------------

I kind of think you have to be willing to be hated for who you are cuz you will be if you show differences from the norm. I mean, no onw really knows what the norm is but it is kind of an unspoken agreement in society and if one goes against it, one will be both very loved and hated, I think.------------------

At the time I wasn't ready for the book's message. It's a good book, perfect for anyone who is ready to change their thinking. Self esteem is all in the mind. It's about finding empathy for yourself and others and judging no one. That's pretty much what the books says. I was too immature to take that big step. Not judging others is difficult. Every time you do, it's supposedly bad for your self esteem.
