It is just weird that when your ego diminishes, you can just walk away from fights or people who diss you.

I am not talking about anyone or anything on here, just in general.

I just see the stronghold of the ego and the vise in which it holds us.

I wish I could cast it off but every little reduction seems to take immense blood and tears.

Randall, I have seen how much you can let things go since I have been on LL, yet be really strong at the same time.

You are one of my role models

The term has to be defined, Teasel. One's ego has to be in the proper place and one can be happy. If it is too big, one is too arrogant. If it is too small, one has low self esteem.

Many tend to confuse ego with identity. We all want to express ourselves and be heard in a nonjudgmental way. A brief poem:

I used to always spell ego with a capital "E,"
but now it's just ego to me.

It's okay to be proud of one's accomplishments or of the accomplishments of one's children. As with all things, too much or too little can be problematic, and moderation is the key.

I found Moderation to be a True Key to Understanding.

Thanks, Randall; for Believing.
