People like to try to give quick fixes to things, for many reasons, most likely. One may be utter frustration about the slowness of change. Another may be the powerless felt when they see another person stuck in change.

I feel I have changed a little. I have tried soooo hard to change and have changed but it is has been so slow for the time it has taken.

That being said, I see how locked in one can be in the edifice of deceptions and illusions about oneself and the world, one can be.

It is a prison on one's back and one cannot escape. That is my point for writing this. I will not expect people who have mental/emotional issues to be different.

I could not be. It took several ingredients to get me to change the rather small amount I did.

The biggest were unconditional love from a few humans and trust that God does not make junk.

One thing that sparks change in me is being tired, of being tired, of what I want changed.

Actually, I'm reading just that.

About Trinities.

There is the first, second and third components.

Event, Acknowledgement, Reconciliation.

The Triangle.

You have changed, Ami.

I've noticed.

You've made a lot of progress even if you don't know it; at least I am certain that I can feel it... We may not be close anymore but there's something different in your enegry now. Something more liberated, less restricted... something a little more "fresh" and open...

And it's good!

Change is super hard.
It takes dedication, time, perseverance, and most of all - the desire and the hope that change is possible.

It's an interesting road we walk on. =)

I like the sound of that.
I get stuck in phase 2 often, so phase 3 rarely comes. Trying to work on that.

Yeah I guess everyone has their own way.
For me it's anger, which gives me energy to change.
Maybe it's due to getting older but I don't feel as energized from the inside any more, just basic physical energy. Im more energized now by my interactions with others, being around people. If its an irritating interaction I use that energy to start or keep change going in my life as I need a lot of pick me ups.
Gah, Im having a hard time with this energy reversal, I get what you're saying ami

Thank you, Lonake! Yes, anger is a big factor in respecting oneself. I, like many people, was not allowed to be angry as a child. I had to be NICE, like one setting on the dryer.

It is funny but one thing that really helped me to face myself was when someone I trusted told me that I had a weird vibe because I was too nice and it did not feel real.

That went very deep in me and helped me to access my anger.

For Mars in Cancer, anger is gonna be hard but one can't have self respect and dignity without the walls and boundaries that anger births.

I totally understand what you are saying, Lonake dear and thanks for saying it

What I've learned is to not take things personally, and to always have a higher vibe.

A good lesson is a real person does not what is in your hand, they want what is in your heart and your head.

A closed hand gathers no harvest

And I used to be very very negative and cynical, then one learns that time is short, as is life, you can be bitter or better that choice God has given to each of us to make.

Ran into a young women who was making a video documentary, we chatted, she wound up buying me dinner. In the past that would never have happened

You're welcome, Ami. <3

Ellyn I have days like those sometimes. Not very often anymore though. I think that's a good thing.

Lonake, interesting take. I've heard of that before. I think it does depend on the person; but if it works for you and isn't too destructive, that's what matters.

Working on "negative" emotions is challenging but very rewarding. I think many people would benefit from it.
