Well the topic of the thread is straight forward enough. Now I know what a few of you are going to say; There is no way you can predict what's going to happen in the next 10 years and as such there is no point in guessing what are you going to be doing then.

Well, fair enough that is true, but you should atleast have an idea as to where you want be in the next 10 years based on your current attributions with your studies, your career ambitions, your social life, your love life, etc.

Me? Well:

- Still married to my wonderful wife.

- Both of us should be at the peak of our careers at that point; With me securing set contracts for future R&D projects for next gen. IDNs and aerospace companies and with her becoming a successful Cardiologist (she has been studying non-stop for over 10 years now... Such dedication deserves recognition.)

- With our combined income and our projected lifestyle, financial issues should pretty much be non-existent for us.

- By then, we should have finished our goal of visiting our dream spots from around the world and crossed off every given adventurous activity that we always wanted to do.

- Kids? Still undecided at this point but if we do want them, I would like to settle for the ideal duo (one girl, one boy.)

- Probably invest in a small cottage located near the Swiss Alps; Sort of a little getaway location for me and her.

- Already have a sizeable house and a guest house but might invest in two others if we decide to have kids.

This is a very good question!

Be successful is the key word, I guess.

I will:

1. Have finished graduate school and got a job.

2. Be financially "free" and have a high and stable income.

3. Hold an authority position in my chosen field.

4. Be the founder of a charity meant to help unpriviledged high school students access college.

5. Be living in a big city (San Francisco) and own a cozy apartment.

6. Be writing a non fiction book.

7. Have different profitable investments (property, shares ...).

8. Be able to travel to far away places because I will have the financial means to. Although, I hope to be in a position where I will have visited all the places I wanted to visit.

9. Maybe try to get into a PhD program.

10. In a relationship with a great man (not sure about kids though ...).

11. Maybe try and buy a second place in a warm and sunny location.

12. Be confident! I will have erased all the negativity and inhibitions that my upbringing caused me to carry around. I will be emotionally free and strong to the point where I will only do what makes me happy regardless of what people think. Although, I hope that I will have great friends supporting me.

Wonderful and ambitious plans MineAgain . I especially like the fact that you are thinking of starting a charity program. Its always a good thing to invest in your community and your fellow human beings.

10 years is SO FAR to be thinking into the future. It's hard for me to picture that far ahead because things change so drastically. My life is completely utterly different than it was 10 years ago in ways I couldn't possibly have imagined, planned for or foreseen.

I love both of your plans, though They sound great.

Uranus won't let me plan more than 1 week ahead and even that is usually a complete and utter failure!
