My last grad school book was a tome of unintelligible mush. I promised myself, I would not read that kind of writing anymore, not write it myself.

Having to put up with that book changed my life lol

That is why in everything I write, I try to be simple and easy to understand.

I think that is respecting the reader.

I don't have to show off about how smart I am. I am here to help and bless others, not build up my own ego lol

I bought this book for the new book price listed on Amazon and it was worth every single penny, although I see that they have it used for a better price.

Ami, I've read more of Sam Vankin than I can

shake a stick at.

I was researching toxic people a few years ago,

due to a conflict (or major personality clash..

I wasn't sure at the time) at work, when I stumbled

upon the description of the Narcissist.

Kind of a wtf moment.

I put that term in the search engine, and up popped

Vankin, who proceeded to tell me more about my

soon to be ex-husband than I could have ever figured

out on my own.. and I wasn't even looking.

I needed that validation- badly. lol

Excellent resource, imo.

In layman's terms, no less, so a good starting

place for someone who is unfamiliar.

I try to simplify them as much as I can.

The goal in imparting of ANY information is to make it as accessible to people as possible, not to make it harder lol

Vaknin speaks so that after you are done, you can understand what he meant, explain it in simple terms and USE it for your own life in a practical way.

Seeing people try to laugh at and mock at a psych condition showed me that people can't help it.

That was my original question about the monster.

An actual NPD( no empathy) cannot help this.

HOWEVER, one has to keep oneself safe the best one can.

When one is a child, one can't, so one gets scarred.

There is no doubt one will be scarred, through no fault of one's own.

If one has some kind of condition, as a result, it is not a joke lol

Narc is on a scale. Only Mal Nar has no empathy. The others have varying degrees from a small lack of empathy to a severe.

HOWEVER, the chart shows all of it.

I, personally, could never be a Mal Narc due to my chart imo

I am not saying I do not have issues. I went numb from my background and am coming out of it from the CDs I mentioned.

I am very fearful--Cancer Moon and Mars.

However, I have a great deal of empathy. I am very warm but this is really the chart and not me, per se

God gives everyone his chart.

Some are harder than others. We don't know why

Who is "she" and what "original"
There have been many discussions of NPD and similar disorders/behaviors on Lindaland if we are trying to establish who has the right to discuss it I dont think First Comer is relevant. It seems a lot of people like to limit the discussion to their way which seems, well, narcissistic to me, tho whether to the degree of Disorder is open to question .

I thought he was a monster.

A horrible aberration and a cruel joke, imposed on me.

He LOOKED human, spoke like a caring person (before we

got married, mind you), and seemed to blend fairly well

into society.

I didn't think in those terms, of course... that I would

need to wonder about those things never occurred to me.

It's only in hindsight that I was able to make heads

or tails of what happened.

I have more on that lol.. but I'm going to edit and post

a little later.

Since we're speaking of authors who have a talent for relating

and healing, I'm curious.. are you familiar with Scott Peck,

(I'm sure you are), and his (many) books on life and, for lack

of a better term, the human condition?

The big thing is Chiron conj merc--carries a lot of pain mentally and/or in how he communicates.

May have had some condition here--such as stutter, ADD, something that made communication hard or his mental processes.

ALSO, looks like an Unaspected Uranus. These people are amazing--and it could be in a bad way.

They are super independent and this is rare like a fine, original Picasso but the one I knew was a sociopath but a very independent thinker.

His Uranus had no aspects to outer planets which is more rare.

Unaspected Uranus is so rare that I have only seen one.

This guy is the 2nd, I think.

He thought for himself lol

But it's funny-- I've never looked at the ex's chart, beyond his Merc

(Scorp) and his Moon (Aries).

I always figured the Narcissism was independent of his chart.
