I haven't, personally... but my father took care of my Grandmotherwho (we believe) had dementia/alzheimers. (And she knew she did-- which was VERY frustrating for her, as well.) I'm commenting because one thing we noticed was that sundown syndrome
was a very real thing-- as the sun went down, she would become noticeably more agitated, and difficult to get along with. But there are things you can do to minimize it.
I know it isn't easy... wish you the best Sundown Syndrome Managing Sundown Syndrome

Well, she's been officially diagnosed with it yesterday. So I guess it's going to be a long road. IP: Logged |

Hi Jo B!!!I've been through this with my grandma. She didn't know if she ate, if she went to the bathroom.... She died in the day the doctor would do the test to see if she was with alzheimer. But from what I know and seeing her... I think she would be in the 2nd to the third stage. I wish you patience, force and a lot of love for you and your family, things won't be easy, but knowing how to disease evolue, things will be easier!! IP: Logged |
