She did want to force LeeLoo doing readings for her for free (and LeeLoo repeteadly did this in the past, gave her LENGTHY readings, readings others had to pay + LeeLoo spent HOURS to explain IP the basics of Tarot and now look at this)

She is disrciminating her. LeeLoo is Romanian and being discriminated by her.

I am German, though not of German descent, and don't like hearing other people call us unattractive.

Instead, what you said is tantamount to, "Just turn a blind eye to this."

Ignoring is a particularly astute strategy in a case such as this, because it would be rather easy to become embroiled in the contention and risk banning.

I think there's a big difference between:
* a troll who uses provocative language with the sole purpose of causing drama and conflict
* a bigot who genuinely believes the insulting non-sense they're saying

Trolls should be ignored, but bigots should be showed resistance I believe. Though I agree they're usually not worth the effort.

They should not insult back, join the fray, or contribute to the insults. If one can address the person without hurling back insults, by all means do so. Some people might choose to take the higher road and refrain altogether. Others might engage the party and try to rationalize with him/her. There is certainly nothing wrong with either strategy. If the behavior is egregious, it warrants no warning, as was the case with ImpassionedParis.

If the advice is "Ignore, but report the abuse," that should be clearly stated in full.

To just say "ignore" by itself has another meaning, which is: "Do nothing, just take the abuse."

Not sure why that isn't totally obvious.

All those times when IGNORE did not mean anything except to let the problems continue without mediation.

Which has been a source of much contention over the years.

IGNORE is a loaded term at this forum, because of that.

Ignore is a way not to feed negative energy (or to let someone get under your skin by baiting you), but by all means, abusive behavior should be reported in every instance.

This also happens in PR occasionally, and just my opinion, we need another mod in there. Empress is really the only one who is active, so that way if another debacle like today's happens in PR, we at least have mods to handle it, which unfortunately has never been the case in the past.
