I have trouble being a strict vegetarian but I've been careful with my food intake for the past year. It's more difficult for males because a lack of protein and unsaturated fats would lead to low testos.

Having said that, over a 14 month time span since Sept. 2014, I've lost about 23.6 kg or 52 lbs., depending on which measurement you prefer. I got rid of my borderline hypertension and moved my BMI to the 24 range. Still have about 5 kg or 11 lbs. to go before I can hit a 22 BMI, which is the physician's objective.

I would be interested in hearing your healthy diet ideas.

Hi Ian

Well, food habits have to be changed slowly, for one thing.

I believe juicing is the best way to get great nutrition but it does take time.

If your wife was on board, that would be a lot easier because you have such a strenuous work schedule

Wheat grass is the king of energy.

Also, as little GMOs as you can. These are poison, not junk food, but POISON

Study the foods which have GMOS cuz there is no labeling in the US, like there is in other countries.

For example, all regular sugar is GMO. You have to get cane sugar etc

Most oils are GMO. You have to use olive and sesame.

Going out to eat is the hardest but it can be done.

Essentially, I achieved weight loss the old fashioned way: cutting almost all sugar, fructose, everything "diet" and "lowfat," going lower carbs, and just plain not eating a whole lot.

I do intermittent fasting and at times eat only in a four hour time window. That goes against traditional thought with regards to breakfast. I essentially eat a single meal, and that is almost all vegetable with lean protein like salmon or chicken, and in reasonable quantity. Other than that, it's just water, plain coffee and plain tea.
