Topic: I'm finally starting to feel grounded in the moment

As an air sign and an introvert I tend to live in my head most of the time. This isn't always a bad thing, but it often is. When you are living in your head 24/7 you miss out on so much in life and your mind can become a prison. I have been tortured by my own thoughts for a long time, but i'm finally getting out of my head some. I have been meditating and today was the day I really started seeing results. I sat outside this afternoon and just took in nature. I watched flowers get blown from trees by a gentle breeze and I watched the birds as they played and chased each other. In that moment I didn't feel any fear or anxiety, just happiness. I was happy with the simple (but beautiful) things in life. I will continue meditating everyday and hope that I will begin to have more and more moments like the one I had this afternoon.IP: Logged |
