I was digging through some old papers, recipes, etc from my grandparents. I found two odd riddles, at least I think they are. They may have also been part of a Masonic society, or their parents. Based on multiple stories and some jewelry that I've researched that belonged to them.

In this one, I've changed the name, but that's the daughter of "mother". Mother is the writer.

"Rachel won't, she died and went to hell. All her friends were there with clocks above their heads. Every time sex was mentioned, the hands went around once. Rachel asked where her mother was. They had her in another room and used her clock for a fan."

"Little boy was asked by teacher what "tension" meant to him. He walked up to the black board and wrote, "16, 17, 18, and 19. X X X X / X X".
Teacher asked him to explain.
"I have four sisters, aged 16, 17, 18, and 19. Each month on our calendar has four x's on it. This month only has two x's. That's what I call tension at our house."

I have my theories about what they mean but I want to see what someone else may come up with.

They don`t appear masonic but I`ll give a go on the second one. I``ll leave the first one for the next poster.

4 sisters, an x = each menstrual cycle. 2 x`s missing = 2 potential pregnancys. =
Tension

My interpretation of the first is that she believed that her daughter and friends thought and/or talked about sex too much which would lead to going to hell. (They were very religious, but not pushy at all, and very sweet)
But secretly, ("in another room") she thought about sex more than all of them, so she thought. Sexual thought/talk drove the clocks. Hers spun fast enough to use it as a fan. Maybe she felt a bit ashamed of that, inside.

Am I the only one who feels there is something sinister about these "riddles"?

"Rachel won't, she died and went to hell" - self-explanatory.

"All her friends were there with clocks above their heads" - their time of death is coming, like Rachel's?

"Every time sex was mentioned, the hands went around once" - sex somehow speeding up the time of death?

"Rachel asked where her mother was" - seeking protection of the mother archetype?

"They had her in another room and used her clock for a fan." - the hands on that clock must have been spinning incredibly fast to be used as a fan - gang rape?

The Xs on the calendar - satanic dates for ritual abuse?

No offense meant Dop, but these were my first intuitions.
Please note, I am not making a connection between the masonic lodge and ritual abuse, as I cannot verifiy this. However, many 'survivors' have come forth and claimed this.

Ritual abuse has been proven though, aside from the masonic lodge.

EDT: Alternatively, it could simply relate to the "fertility clock" ticking away, and that would coincide with the X's being menstruation dates.

Any interpretation welcome! Thanks for yours. We're all human after all and life can be strange.

Yes, one or both, or their parents must have been part of Knights Templar, "in hoc signo vinces"

I have read (unverified) claims of the knights Templar also being linked with ritual abuse.

Glad my input is welcome though, I appreciate that.

What does the latin phrase mean?

"In this sign you will conquer"
It's on a piece of jewelry that I have from the early 1900's with a cross, two swords, and a knight.
Exactly like this one.

Plus some other things but that one caught my eye.

It's on my list to visit Roslin chapel. It's ridiculous I haven't yet considering I live in Scotland, but I think it will be interesting to feel the place.

The generally-accepted view of the Knights Templar here is one of benevolence, or protecting spiritual travellers, however, before Dan Brown, even in Scotland no one really mentioned the chapel.
I suspect much of what is said about it has been skewed by his book, the factuality of which has been questioned.

Where did you get the pendant?

I just read about them in Scotland, well, long ago.
It took two (or more?) generations that passed away and while digging and dividing things, I ended up with it. I would imagine one of their parents had it originally.

Is your family from Scotland then?

I've traced my ancestry back to that area, along with Germany and Norway area. I even had a DNA test done which pointed heavily to Britain/Scotland.
However, the people who had this are not part of my bloodline, though they were certainly family. <3
Their name would strongly suggest Germany or in that area. Hard to know though as my name suggests Italian, but nothing else does.

DNA can show that??
I know blood types can also, I am B negative and this has been traced to the Basque peoples, which makes sense as my grandmother was Italian.

Yep! I won't go into it right now but it's certainly not without faults. I think tracing via parentage is more accurate but it is very cool to find that it lines up with what I've tracked down.

Indeed. Have you checked your DNA asteroid with others in your family line?
I'm not sure how evidenced this is, but I've read some on LL have positive results with it.

I don't even know where mine is yet. Hahaha
I'll go take a look and maybe do some quick checks.

My DNA is loosely conjunct one's Venus. The other's moon is nearby but too far for connection, especially for an asteroid.
Exact conjunctions are their DNA on my mars (asc 1 degree) and mercury.

Makes perfect sense - all relationship planets, therefore indicating "family".

I might be wrong, but I think there is an asteroid "germania" or something to that effect, might be connections there also, and it may feature in your natal chart if linked through anscestry.

Wow, I appreciate all of the help with astrology here.
Germania didn't stand out in the charts. I'm still blown away by DNA though.

WOw, your family history is fascinating!
Sorry, it's probably a morbid sort of admiration, and might be inappropriate in this context. But, oh well, somehow I'd just love to know people who are/were part of secret societies.

As for the riddles, my first thought was the explanations you had. But then I read Voix's and now the more sinister ones are cropping up in my head.
