I guess you'll have to mentally improvise at the best of your ability...Why would a grandmother DESPERATELY want her daughter (a daughter she's been super strict on her entire life and near enough ruined) to gain full custody of granddaughter? Why does she actively "talk through" her daughter and micromanage everything? Why doesn't her daughter have a "voice"? Anyone know of a grandmother that somehow wanted her grandchild as "her own"??? So grandmother wants her daughter to have full custody of the granddaughter.First thing to come to mind is that if custody is lost then it looks bad on the daughter (and also grandmother), a family shame so to speak, and thus is upholding the family honor (or at least image). The daughter may not have a voice because a lifetime of micromanaging has convinced the daughter she can't do it as the grandmother always has, and is now incapable (or at least insecure about) doing such things on her own, and she may even just expect the grandmother take care of these things. I bet the grandmother is paying the legal fees as well, which gives her a lot more power (especially if she threatens to pull the money if the daughter doesn't jump through the hoops set by the grandmother, and may not just be the legal fees the grandmother is threatening to withdraw). This makes sense! It's just......so "movie"!!! I never really thought these kind of people would exist in real life :-/ I have met STRANGE people but none have played these psychological bs games before. It's unnerving to say the least.
