I thought I'd put this out there for anyone who is suffering, but everyone also has to help!

Here's the idea:

1. A member posts that they are feeling down, lost, hurt, alone, etc, any form of suffering.

2. The next person to come to the thread must offer them a positive affirmation (PA) or encouraging statement (ES).

3. If when you come to the thread someone has already posted for a PA or ES, you must make a PA or ES to them before you share your own feelings.

((Try not to be judgemental or too directive. Let's try to encourage alternative perspectives for each other when things are tough))

I just want to add, this concept is not my own (it's questionable if it is truly anyone's - I think we all know this kind of thing is effective logically), it is from research done on how others can support those experiencing intense emotional episodes.

Voix, I love this healing idea and thread

I'm not sure what I am suppose to say but what I do have to say is positive.

About a week ago I think I got so overwhelmed by so much going on in the present, a lot I am sure comes from the past and just feelings of failure, being alone with no one to understand things, not being able to talk to anyone or wouldn't talk to anyone about what all I have been dealing with. I guess stuff has a sneaky way of creeping up on you. I just kept blowing things off thinking it will get better and things would just go away. I'm not sure what triggered it but I actually must have been thinking of just ending things. I've had thoughts like that before and I choose to keep them to myself. You'd be surprised at how some people will use your hurts against you. I guess some people need that for whatever reason.

Anyway, after reading back over some text I had sent out I started to really go inside who I am to figure out what is really going on with me . I thought of this and that etc ..

With suicide and other crisis things in life, my realization as that no one , no one on earth is responsible for your own happiness but you. People are infallible and speak from their own emotions, state of mind, personal experiences etc. People are always going to project those things on to you, coodoes to them but you are not them.

For richer or poorer , believe in yourself even when others don't. No great person became great because they didn't have setbacks or failure, loss and expenditure. They just had the determination to get back up and fight again. To learn to grow and to become experienced. Everyone is great and means something in life, no matter what your status. You never know the effect that you really have on another person whither you are the homeless man on the street , CEO of a company or president of the US. Those things are the things that I had to remind myself of and that I am too strong of a person to wimp out now.

The best thing is that I learned how to mother myself. I am so good at helping others off the ground, giving encouragement to others, problem solving, helping others to see beauty in themselves. I forgot to give myself the same compassion, the same love. From now on, I am treating myself with the same guidance that I would my own kids if they were telling me my own story. ( The relationship with self)

I am not sure how to start.
Like five months ago my life was turned upside down. I lost my hostel. I lost my apartment. When I returned from my detention I found out Mister had arranged for a studio for us to move to. Nothing scratched me though. I am a cappy. I was ready for fight back. I was ready for my come-back.
I spent my first month looking for a small hotel on sale. Service apartment. Guest house. Only to find that each has their problems. In short, not worth to try.
The studio was very small but it was fine. What I couldn't accept that it was close to the slaughter house. The smell in the early morning! The vibration! I had enough! Mister was understanding. We found a perfect three bed room apartment. Two spare rooms for our returning guests.
I decided to take my time. Studying acupuncture under a professor and doing an apprentice in a hospital with her. Mister started his new business with his cousin's guidance. All is perfect.
Suddenly I found out I had developed lines from the ends of my lips. This was not right. I am a cappy. I am supposed to grow younger as I age. And I am not that OLD! A book on reading face said these are disappointment lines. Ooh aah...time to do cleaning work.
Furry introduced me to full moon candle ritual. So among others, one was to release my disappointment of losing my hostel.
I saw the line on the right side has gone. Unfortunately the left side line was still there.
Left is associated with feminine energy while right is with masculine. Yin and yang. It hit me that my career with hostel was yang energy. I released it okay.
Another digging. Searching.
It saddened me to realize that I am disappointed for not being a mother.

Rheanna,

do you know what I see shining so brightly out of your whole post? Resilience.

Thank you Voix for your reflection.
Resilience is cappy's strength!

I still haven't been successful dealing with this issue.
I still have the chance to be a mother if I want to but no, I think it is best if I just let go. The disappointment is unconscious I did not even realize it.
But the time will come.
The time will come.

What do we have beyond politics, wars, civil unrest, unequality, marginalisation, even beyond freedom, and everything else that hurts and divides us?

Each other.

If the world starts to burn tomorrow, the only thing that can help us is each other.

But divisiveness keeps us from seeing who our true masters are, so they can rule us from the shadows.

I agree. Oldest trick in the book: divide and conquer.

We have to heal our differences and realise that 'we' are all we have.

Beautifully said Voix.

.

We see in our mirror new versions of ourselves now. We are battle worn, yet we are blooming as that new floral budling, in the place it wasn't meant to be. Despite the world around - it pushed through the soil, not yet discovered. Surrounded by unlike territory, It will be the brightness on the journey home for many to catch. To see it will bring a smile to many faces.
Yes - even those hidden in masks.
