With December in full effect, many cities around the world are getting ready for the Holiday Festivities. My city certainly brought the Holiday season in a big way. The Cavalcade of Lights is a yearly event the marks the lighting of the Toronto Christmas Tree followed by a big Fireworks display.

This year was no exception (though the weather could have been a bit better Lol!)

The Mayor of our City, John Tory:

Sorry if these are not the best shots of the Fireworks Display. I was standing at a very awkward angle when I took these:

So, how does your city bring in the Holiday season. Share pictures with the rest of the forum.

I will keep updating this thread with pictures from the Toronto Christmas Market and other Holiday Season related events.

Man, I was hoping for a few more responses Lol! You Grinches! (I am kidding guys!)

Anyway, as promised, I am now going to share the pictures from the Toronto Christmas Market. The Christmas Market is an annual Tradition in Toronto that happens in the Distillery District. As the name implies, the Distillery District used to be the location of one of the largest Whiskey Distillery in North America. These days however, the location is home to a lot of Regional Beer Breweries as well as local Shops.

So this will be my last contribution to the thread as far as pictures go.

These pictures were taken from the Aurora Winter Festival that is currently happening at Ontario Place. Ontario Place is a Province owned Water Theme park which one of the biggest IMAX theatre in North America.

Elsa is that you?

So from my wife and myself to all of you, have a very Merry Christmas if you celebrate and Happy Holidays if you don't.

Xodian!!

I have enjoyed your photo-journaling very much!! Thank you.
I don't have tech-equipment or devices for doing what you do.

What I DO have for sharing here!!! *grin*-- is a link to a youtube channel that take trips to Disney-type Attractions in our area.

These people are a family who go there every Friday and weekends, and LiveStream their experiences.

LOTS of tech-talk {equipment comparisons, trouble-shooting}.

So if you're interested in the latest streaming-innovations, cameras, lighting, etc, you could gain knowledge from their experiences, AND, be entertained vicariously-- not many people can afford expensive holiday trips to these theme-parks. You'll get a taste for what it's like if you've been there yourself!

Well, might as well keep the topic going from this year's pictures Lol!

This past weekend, the Christmas Market in Toronto opened up and the Santa Clause Parade made its way through the downtown Area. I have already shared pictures from the Toronto Christmas Market in this thread.

However, I wanted to share the pictures from this year's Santa Clause Parade with everyone. Now unfortunately me and my wife couldn't stay through till the end of the Parade given that my niece who was with us was getting a bit restless. But here are some of the pictures from the Parade:

Send in the clowns:

The Toronto Police Mounted Unit:

Mayor John Tory:

Mario made an appearance:

Wouldn't be a Canadian Santa Clause Parade without Tim Hortons:

Well, on with the new additions to the thread. These pictures were taken from the Winterfest happening at Canada's Wonderland, Toronto's biggest Amusement Park. It was fun!
