I thought I would start this thread after reflecting on the power of genuine apologies. Come here and apologise to anyone you want, without expectation of response or apology back. Apologies simply because it's the right thing to do. --------------------------------------------- I have a few people I want to apologise to but I will start with Ami. Ami, we have disagreements in the past in which I allowed my anger to get the better of me, leading me to say things to you that were hurtful and to behave intolerantly toward you. I am sorry. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

I was thinking about this, too, about ten minutes ago. I think I've apologized to the people I needed to, but I might come back.IP: Logged |

Voix_de_la_Mer,Your contribution right now is highly appreciated. Thank you so much. That is why everyone here is much needed as everybody else. Everyone plays a little part in creating a loving and wonderful place. And if sometimes we make a mistake, it is ok. What really counts at the end of the day is that we are still together. Everything else can be sorted out. IP: Logged |

I don't fight. My relationships with the people around me are very precious to engage into a fight. I may have my nerves for various reasons from time to time, but it doesn't last for long. Even then, I step outside and see that other things are the important ones.Still...There is someone I want to apologise. Myself. I'm sorry that I let you fall some months ago. I'm sorry that I didn't take care of you. I'm sorry that I couldn't stand by you. I'm sorry that I was weak. I'm sorry that I hurt you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv2DSmy3Tro IP: Logged |

My 2nd apology goes to Secretgeek (who may or may not still be here).Secretgeek, I remain unsure why I upset you so much, but that doesn't mean I'm not sorry that I made you feel you couldn't participate in LL anymore. The community lost a member and you lost a community. I am sorry. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

My 3rd apology goes to Dumuzi.Dumuzi, I got heated in one of our exchanges in GU2.0 and I made assumptions about you that I shouldn't have. I didn't understand you and instead of trying harder to understand you, I expressed my frustration. I regret calling you antagonistic. I have been reading some of your replies elsewhere on the forum with different eyes and I see that I was wrong about that. I am sorry. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

My 4th apology goes to Jwhop.Jwhop, I am not proud of how I have responded to you at times. My feelings are my responsibility and I shouldn't allow any negativity I feel colour my responses to you. I have responded to you sarcastically, patronisingly and pedantically, rather than take a breather and then respond more reasonably. I am sorry. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

It will take some time for me to fully process my guilt, and what I have learned from the related event(s). ... But, I can now see/understand how I entered the Safe Place In The Realm of the LL Kingdom and non-mindfully "followed the orders go my conditioning/habitual-behaviour" (to bayonet the wounded, and those whom have befriended them).I am truly sorry for having done that, and apologise here to all those that have been hurt by my related actions/comments. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=elton+john+sorry+lyrics&docid=608012957258678588&mid=8DAB074C98CDD73ED9538DAB074C98CDD73ED953&view=detail&FORM=VIRE IP: Logged |

Graham I just want to thank you. Your focus on self-examination, amongst some other things I've read and that have happened on LL recently are what led me to look at myself more closely. I was quite ashamed when some things I have said really sunk in. I have not been my best toward people. So thank you for helping me realise this and start to put it right. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

I’d like to make a similar blanket apology to anyone who has been harmed by my past failure to understand the whole “safe space/trigger warning” concept as it applies to where and how it’s appropriate to freely discuss past traumas of my own.

. Meant what I said and Teasel captured it so Dumuzi may also see it. I'm deleting my comments on threads thatmay have involved a recent flame drama. I'm going to concentrate on T reading and stick with the main boards. to all on here, may LL heal. IP: Logged |

I think more time has to pass before I can make my other apologies. I feel regret over some interactions, but I am not completely clear on my role, so an apology at this stage would not be well thought out. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

I just want to add that if anyone I have apologised to wants to discuss it further/seek clarity or anything, I am open to this. I only apologise when any anger has dissipated. So I am in a position to discuss things civilly if anyone would benefit from this.------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

i looked here on a whim today (mostly to see if the other thread stuff was addressed in here), funny enough, and it's cool no worries i said **** too and things happen, it's easy to get mixed up with text and whatnot i'm not the sort who holds grudges longterm @moonmystic it's cool, whenever you get a chance i'm around unless i'm dead or something i haven't been super talkative with other people lately in all honesty, weird headspace and just not being particularly communicative i'll just take it like you giving me the space i've felt like i needed from people, pretty psychic of you 😉 do i have apologies? 🤔 idk i tend to apologize in the moment i think, i might, not sure being present hasn't been something i've been good at lately

@DumuziI'm glad you looked I don't bear grudges for misunderstandings either, and yeah, misinterpretations are easy to make online. But, I shouldn't have spoken to you the way I did and I am sorry. ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson (whatever you feed will grow) IP: Logged |

likewise i know i apologized then but i did get triggered by you and snapped at something i misinterpreted at one point so it happens, and it's really ok i appreciate the apology and you saying that and hopefully everything from this point forward comes with us having a better understanding of each other and the ability to level better it really does mean a lot you know, i was very surprised to see me mentioned here but i did have to address because your effort in saying it needed to be noticed IP: Logged |

@Dumuziyour understanding means a lot to me too, thank you for this. And yes, you did apologise at the time and I appreciate that. It can take me longer to figure out how I feel about stuff, so as a consequence takes me longer to apologise. The Hugbox ain't such a bad place after all, eh? I'm glad we're good (until the next time?? haha joke!) ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson (whatever you feed will grow) IP: Logged |

🤦♀️Oh, man... I knew I had a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time (thus my previous blanket apology), but I had no idea how bad it could be until now. @Graham, I almost asked you to do a reading for my son a couple of days ago... @Dumuzi, I see how my joke was awful, all things considered, and I’m sorry about that... I’ve lost one friend to an overdose, another messed up in a car accident when the driver was robo-tripping, so I’m also sorry for being a little bit **** about that stuff.IP: Logged |

Not sure how bad things could be, until you almost asked me to do a reading. IP: Logged |
