I realized when the Eros person makes a contact with the personal planets of the other person specially (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and ASC)and I think overall the hard ones, the Eros person feels in love or feels attraction of the other person I think is like the bowshot of Eros, but to see if the relationship is going to work you have to see another patterns in the chart.

Yes, you're right. The eros person eroticises. This is also true for eros-pscyhe connections as well. To turn the coin, psyche operates like a venus and makes you look like the ideal/love object to the other.

But yes, look to other things for a lasting relationship.

My research verifies Dr. Lehman's observation that "If one person's Eros makes an aspect to another person's planet, the Eros person is smitten with the Planet person." But I have also found the planet person often returns the feeling, even if his Eros makes no aspect in reciprocation.

I have these aspects with a guy I like but have only met twice so far

His sun square my psyche
His psyche square my sun
His moon trine my eros
His Eros trine my moon
His Eros square my psyche
His psyche sextile my Eros
His Draco Eros opposes my Draco Venus exact
His Draco Eros opposes my moon exact

Something tells me we won't ever get out of bed!!!!!!
We are so attracted to each other that I need to put myself on ice when I see him.

I guess it's a two way thing with us, no?

I think to all the relationships work must have a Saturn aspect with the personal planets.

I agree. It seems to be the worst aspects though with saturn that ends up in relationships (eg squares with mars, venus, moon etc)

Wow, I love Eros. And I always wanted to know who the smitten person was, so I guess it`s the Eros-person?

In my synastry there are some Eros and Psyche aspects:

My Eros is in Cancer in my 8th house and it falls into his 5th house:
trines his ASC
trines his Uranus
quinkunx his chartruler Neptune exactly
squraes his Pluto exactly (this one sounds almost dangerous, but I resonate with it, as Eros is in my 8th house)
trines his Valentine
squares his Anteros

conjuncts his draco chartruler Neptune
conjunct his draco Sun (and draco MC)

My Draco Eros is in Scorpio in his 7th house but already conjunct the 8th cusp
opposes his Chiron

His Eros is in Pisces in his 12th house and falls into my 3rd house
Natally his Eros exactly conjuncts my name in his chart.

synastrically his Eros:
sextiles my Venus
squares my Mars
conjuncts my chartruler Jupiter
squares my Neptune
quinkunx my Pluto exactly
squares my NN
squares my ASC
opposes my Draco name in my chart
conjuncts my Ceres
opposes my Draco Lilith
conjuncts my Draco Anteros

his Draco Eros in Libra in my 10th house:
conjuncts my MC
conjuncts my Pluto
conjuncts my Draco Karma

Interestingly Eros is mutually connected to our respective chartruler, ASC and Pluto.

Oh and for Psyche

His Psyche is exactly conjunct my Psyche.

This Psyche / Psyche conjunction
sextiles his Sun and Moon
trines his IC
sextiles my Sun and Mercury
conjuncts my True Lilith
opposes his True Lilith (they are exactly opposite each other close to saturday`s lunar ecclipse)

oposes his Draco Venus
conjuncts my Draco Uranus

His Draco Psyche is in Virgo in my 9th house
opposes my Draco Amor
opposes my Draco Mars
conjuncts my Draco DC

My Draco Psyche is in Gemini in his 3rd house

In the relationship that I just f'ed up, his Eros is exactly conjuct my Mars. He was sexually obsessed with me, but i found (and still find) myself growing increasingly sexually frustrated with him even though he has left me..

So, it seems to be a fact, that the Eros -owner is the most smitten and obsessed.

I think then I like his Eros conjunct my name and chartruler even more.
(Well, I know I am smitten, so I donīt need to see those aspects to my Eros; but it`s nice to dream.... )

So if one has a DW of

his eros square my psyche
my eros sextile his psyche

who is more smitten or are both smitten?

The one with the square to his ERos would be more smitten. He might not like it, but he would be head over heels (if there are other nice aspects, too). As I see it the square may be challenging and difficult, but it provides much more intensity than a sextile or even trine.

Actually I just read on Kim`s site that the conjunctions, oppositions and squares are actually the aspects (to Eros) that are felt the strongest and most urgent.

I guess that is true for most aspects.

I will check out this thread, but could you maybe just post conjunction, opposition and square (and only trine and sextile and quinkunx, if they are part of a DW)?.

We want to see where the true intensity lies, don`t we?

I gotta prepare a bit for work tomorrow, but will have a look later.

Oh yes, her insights are great.

Regarding the bolded bit: Would you rate an Eros square Ascendant as intense or immediate attraction coming from the Eros person then?

"Regarding the bolded bit: Would you rate an Eros square Ascendant as intense or immediate attraction coming from the Eros person then?"#

OH GOD I WISH IT WAS SO!!!!

(please excuse my exlamation, but my crush`s Eros is closely square my ASC *Sigh*)

I guess I am too close to the matter to answer that question.

But speaking from an astrological point of view: I guess the Eros person would at least notice the ASC person, definitely.
There would be an intense energy. But would it be attraction, or repulsion? Or maybe both?
Maybe it`s similiar to a Venus-Mars - aspect? Is that an attraction aspect?
But however, the ASC person would just trigger Eros inside the other person. So one person`s body and instinctive being would eroticise the other.

But with the square aspect this would not be very comfortable to the Eros-person I guess. There could be a mix of intense attraction and the feeling of "She / he is so different from all I ever felt attracted to". Yet, if you`re erotic feelings are triggered, they are triggered, and a square provides much buzz and intensity to the equation.

Speaking from my own experience (being Eros), my crush`s Pluto squares my Eros exact, and it just feels insane to me. But then again there has always be a strong Eros-Pluto-aspect (square and opposition, interestingly), when I felt strongly attracted.
I`ve had a short, but very vehement infatuation two years ago (nothing special, but for two months I completely lost my head), and my Eros was square his Venus and Mars (actually it was square his exact Venus-Mars-midpoint, as he had a Venus-Mars-conjunction). There was nothing else to explain the strong impact he had on me (except for a trine of his Mars to my Moon).
And I definitely didn`t feel repelled by him.

Someone, whose ASC most likely is squaring my Eros, I felt very drawn to, it was kind of a "forbidden impossible attraction" on my side. Of course there were other Eros-Aspects, too.
My Eros was also conjunct his Sappho exactly (he was gay, so hence the impossibility part), sextile his Pluto and trine his Saturn and Neptune.

His Eros was even more affected, as it was
exactly conjunct my Venus
square my Pluto.

WE`ve had some of the "hotter" aspects, as his Venus / ERos-conjunction was conjunct my Venus, and all of this squared by my Pluto and his Mars (we even had that exact Mars-Pluto-conjunction).

Venus - Venus
Venus - Eros
Mars - Pluto
Venus - Mars
Venus - Pluto
Eros - Pluto

What a waste of aspect-material!

Definitely a waste!

Still, lots of good information based on experience there darkdreamer.

Squares to Eros do nothing to moderate his desires, I see.

I like this idea of Eros squares to the Ascendant producing a "forbidden impossible" or skewed kind of desire for that individual as opposed to an 'offset' reaction such as revulsion, which I think goes too far in the other direction.

Eros seems like a conjuction between Mars/Venus actually was the son of Venus and Ares and it seems true because Eros was discovered on Acuarius (androgenus sign), and I think the most erotic aspects are with Mars and Venus, and I think more with Venus, because the relation between Venus/Eros in mythology.

So if the Eros person is the one affected by the aspects, what happens if someone's eros isn't aspected AT ALL??? Does that mean a lack of erotic feelings to the planet person or do any of you have been in a situation where your eros received no aspects, but you still felt strongly attracted?
