A chart I just looked at reminded me of Bacchus.
It is the asteroid of orgies,I think lol
In other words, a person who would indulge in larger than life pleasures such as this,we could say

I knew someone who was like this.He has Bacchus conjunct the NN.
Isn't that fascinating?

I do not think that their significance is much different....

Bacchus is a Roman God, the equivalent of the Greek Dionysus, god of wine and mystic ecstasy (Dionysian Mysteries)

Pan is a faun, a god we could say himself, associated with Dionysus...There is a myth I remember, concerning a musical contest between him and Apollo, where Pan challenged him that he can play his pipe better than Apollo could play his lyra. When none of them could be declared winner, Apollo suggested they try to play their instruments upside down - and he won!

Pan is a satyr, has earthy sexuality, induces panic/arousal and is associated with the revival of paganism.

Dionysus was revered and is associated with the later Orphic Mysteries, ecstatic/divine delirium and god possession.

Bacchus is same as Dionysus, and I think their counterpart celebrations/mysteries were similar.

OMG okay I have baccus conjunct both moon and venus (both by less than 1.5 degrees) in 7th house libra.

This along with my lust tightly conjuncting IC ( 1' with my kaali too) and my eros conjunct pluto in EIGHTH house Scorpy and vesta conjuncting MC exact MUST make me a quite... promiscuous no?!!!

hahaha but I'm not at all. I'm surprisingly really selective when it comes to sex. I think it has to mean something (must be my moon conjunct venus in 7th house Libra talking??) and all my libra planets and Virgo mars??

But I DO enjoy it alot =)

I do however suspect I have addiction tendencies... thus my determination to never dabble in drugs or gambling. =X

okay oops I lied I checked it again, I actualy have Bacchus 2 degres in Aries in house 11....and I have my Aries Sun 22 degres so it's not that close to it. lol

I knew something screwy was going on in my notebook where I keep notes, I had it spelled Baucis too. About a year ago was when I noticed asteriods and fixed stars...looks like my brain got a bit scattered while recording some. There are so many. lol

but anyway
I have Lucifer 12 deg. in the 12th house
very close to asc two degres behind my asc

and I have Horus 17 deg in the 1st house

Hmmm...In my 7th house I have:

Bacchus - Leo 26' 25
Karma - Leo 26' 24
Venus - Leo 26'17

Lust - Tau 27'10
IC Tau 25'16
Casanova - Sc 24'10

And nearby is Leo 29 Mars, Leo 29 Dr. Kaali, Leo 21 Valentine, Leo 20 Pan.

I think I should be having a lot more fun!

Speaking of Greek/Roman asteroids - looked on Serennu (which is awesome!) and I have -

Leo 27 - Fortuna, Sisyphus, Dr. Medusa
Leo 26 - Artemis, Bacchus, Venus, Metis, Thetis
Leo 25 - Hestia
Leo 24 - Hecuba

Does this point to past life orgies in ancient Greece?

Well maybe fantasies, but everyone has those. Don't they?! LOL my actually romantic escapades are nonexistent at the moment. I did date a guy last year that made me feel 'animalistic' which shocked me...good thing he wasn't as responsive as I was, or someone could have gotten hurt lol!

I have Bacchus in 11H Capricorn. As for aspects: a trine with 7H Virgo NN & Vertex & P Fort, a sextile with 8H Scorpio Sisyphus and 1H Pisces Europa, a quincunx with 4H Gemini Hygiea, a semisextile with 12H Aquarius Jupiter and a square with 1H Aries Vesta & Amor (R) and 8H Libra Pholus.

Does anyone know what this means? I think Bacchus in Capricorn is a pretty good placement, and in the 11th House it just strengthens the orgy theory!

I have this and Dionysus, pretty strong/prominent in my chart. You'd think I drink like a fish or snort more coke than Tony Montana; in actuality, it's the opposite - I'm actually really funny about alcohol and drugs and as a rule avoid them like the plague.

Having said that, I can't really say in total honesty that I'm not hedonistic, it just manifests in a less stereotypical way. I like my creature comforts and I love to enjoy myself so in that sense I absolutely fit that whole preoccupation with constantly feeding the senses, but my vices are pretty tame. If you take these particular asteroids and interpret them in that sense, more in terms of their essence and what they're about on a fundamental level instead of looking for the specifics to play out literally, then absolutely, I "fit" them.
