Hey IQHunk, you mentioned in another thread about the 15 degree separation and Kundalini/Enlightening. I do have some ideas on Kundalini in relation to the YiJing energy cycles, although could you explain a little more about 15 degree separation please?

I also noticed someone ask a question about chakras in another thread, so maybe you could offer some insight here also? I've been practising chakra meditation for about 10 years now, although I find you have more of a flair for explaining than I do! I think they specifically wanted to know more information about the throat chakra/unblocking/opening.

The YiJing, often known as 'The Book of Changes' is an ancient Chinese oracle, describing how energy moves/transforms from one state to another. Many call this energy 'Tao', although Tao came after the YiJing, a teaching offshoot if you like.
Its possible to arrange the YiJing energies so they correspond with the astrological grid, so at each degree shows a differing phase of transformation.

Its been my observation that one particular energy seems to be related to Kundalini, it can fall in various places depending on the chart calculation you are using. But examples - the energy is located between 26.25 and 27.25 degrees (roughly) into a 360 degree cycle. So you could apply it by finding the 26th degree after your sun natal position, or your ascendent position, or if you wanted to find Natures Kundalini, then start from Spring, 0 degrees Aries - which would make it 26.25-27.25 degrees Aries. I will pass on more information in due course, there may be questions first, and I wouldnt like to rush too far ahead of myself.

Thanks

Hi BG,
I was thinking that since 15 is the number of the magician in Numerology, and Kundalini is the Energy that can transform man to Superman, maybe 15 degrees on Ascendant would be an indication of a native's ability to succesfully raise this energy.

My source for Chakras and Kundalini has been "Aghora 2" by Robert Svoboda.
You must get this book. If it is not available in UK, just let me know I will send one copy from India.

This is the strangest series of literature in human history. You have an American
boy interested in mysticism. Normally those kind of kids end up Hare Krishnaing in ISKON or end up in some loony ashram, but this boy wanted to study Indian medicine 'Ayurveda' and got admission in an Indian University.
There he met a mystic Vimalananda who scoffed at all gurus, cults, ashrams and so called masters. This guy would drink whisky, speak of sexual exploits, gamble on horses and say all he could to repel curious people from knowing this path of Tantrik science.
Robby the American lived as his adopted son for 7 years, documenting Vimalananda's life and insights on everything from chakras to Kundalini, goddess path and mythology seen from Yogic lens. Robert wrote down everything and today practices Ayruveda in USA. He also became the first American to cremate a Hindu in recorded history when the son of the deceased was still alive!

Another source for Chakras is Arthur Avalon's work "Sakthi and Sakthas".

I do color based chakra meditation myself and focuing a color on the certain area seems to cause tingling sensations in the ganglions after a while, and relaxes the area. However, Kundalini accidentally activated 2-3 times for me, then after I studied the dangers of premature activation, I stopped focusing on raising Kundalini, and just do chakra meditations for relaxation twice or thrice a week.

Chakras seem to be the Etheric Bodies instruments to activate and respond to the Physical body impulses. Each chakra has a sound, colour and "petal count". The sound never worked for me but color visualization always did.

Throat Chakra needs ice blue color to activate. Unblocking a chakra in the wrong time can cause problems if Kundalini energy flows through it. Kundalinic flows activate the DNA proteins latent in our genome as per research from Stewart and Janet Swerdlow, and in the under prepared, they can cause Schizophrenia or Multiple Perosnality Disorders due to seeing too many of our simultaneous lives or our genetic memories as "realities", and not being able to focus on the present life.

Just making the chakra spin and mentally ordaining that the "Prana" or "Chi" flow from the breath through the chakra regions is enough to utilize the strengths of that region, in my experience.

I have never studied IChing, will look into that. Also, one way of ascertaining the 26.25-27.25 degree would be look at the astro charts of those who may have activated the Kundalini. One person who definitely did it was Jiddu Krishnamurthi, as per his biography written by an academician.
Another could be Osho Rajneesh, [whose Kundalini may have got stuck in the second chakra] and third would be Manly P Hall.

Hey IQH,

The 15 degree thing may have some substance in the YiJing cycle also. The apsect falling between 14-15 degrees is one that talks about partners joining, or the mutual collaboration of yin/yang in perfect composition. Hmm I remember noticing Linda Goodman had this aspect for her sun, I'd have to check.. but Linda also believed that we were meant to live forever - which is effectively the result of a full kundalini rise through all the chakras, making the bodies energy vibrate on much higher levels. I'll also check the charts of those people you mentioned, it will be interesting to compare. Remember, this YiJing aspect I speak of isnt a definite link to Kundalini, its only my idea, and it could be completely wrong
Can I ask a question IQH, or to anyone else who has experienced chakra opening?
The Kundalini rise is quite a powerful experience, something I am deffinate I have not felt. Although the chakra work I do is quite powerful, I can get all of my chakras buzzing with a feeling of great intensity, and sometimes it reaches the point where my body feels like it is covered in a smoothe layer of liquid/water, and feels incredibly light. Question is, what does it actually feel like? Ive imagined it as a sensation up the spine. Its not something I have tried, Im not ready, my focus is just on balancing at the moment.

In fact speaking of the throat chakra, as someone else already mentioned, this is the chakra I have most difficulty with - it still opens and throbs, but its intensity is less than that of the others. I am relating this to my communication skills... the third chakra deals with the expression of concrete truths/thoughts, and sharing these expressions with others. Thats my weak point, I dont offer idea exchanges very often, just keep them to myself, so when I do eventually write about my own thoughts (like now on these boards), I can come across as more arrogant than I actually intend. Maybe because I have a lot of pent up communication and it is rushing to relase itself, rather than flow steadily. Ahh I guess that best way for me to remedy this one is make many more mistakes but continue sharing, a mistake learned from is a mistake celebrated.

SO WHAT!!!! Perceived Arrogance does not matter, what matters is the knowledge given out. Infact most great teachers are deliberately arrogant to filter out the impatient who wont respect knowledge.

<< Maybe because I have a lot of pent up communication and it is rushing to release itself, rather than flow steadily>>

100% true. Just like the Money Mystique of sharing money to multiply it, knowledge must be shared to multiply it, else it can stifle your next level of evolution. PLan B is to expand the capacity to store/process knowledge without sharing it, like some mystics used to do but that is very laborious and difficult.

My Experience with Kundalini:
(Please dont laugh at 2, I am telling the truth)

1. Heart beat became close to 300 beats per minute, I felt I was going to have a heart attack and die

2. An uncontrollably powerful erection with zero lust and zero desire, it just happened and it was like fire in the entire zone.

3. Buzzing sound in the head.

Calmed down in about 5-10 minutes. This happened about 3 times then I stopped the intense meditation of spinning 2 interlocking coloured pyramids surrounding the chakras because I found out that this could also be because the Heart beat increase indicates lack of throat chakra readiness, so a complete Kundalini rising would have finished me with a heart attack.

<<it reaches the point where my body feels like it is covered in a smoothe layer of liquid/water, and feels incredibly light>>
I get that exact feeling about once a month or so, ie 10% of the time I meditate. Otherwise it is just a powerful sensation through my left temple, through my neck and centre of forehead [third eye region.]

Vividness of Dreams has increased phenomenally to the point that my dreams seem more real than reality many times. That has been the most important change since the Kundalini buzz. Plus after starting Higher Self release work along with chakra spinning, I got awareness of some of my past lives in dream state.

But actual full Kundalini, never felt it. What I felt is just the teaser of the movie trailer, according to the literature on this subject.

IQH, I know exactly what you mean about the 'powerful sensation through the left temple and third eye region' - When I started chakra meditation in my teens, the third eye was felt in the form of a very focused and narrow throbbing in the centre of my forehead. Then in more recent years, particularly the last 6 months, the narrow focus has broadened to a sensation that covers the whole of the forehead and side templates. When combined with the crown chakram it can feel like you are wearing a helmet! And the vividness of dreams you mentioned has also increased - the clarity and meaning within them.

I'm going to check those charts shortly, just in the process of eliminating a friends computer problem at the mo.

Ive had a look at those charts, and found some interesting things.

The YiJing energy I was referring to that fell at 26.25-27.25 degrees in is actually a small part of a larger energy (each energy is divided into 6 parts of transformation). This degree is called the 5th line, which suggests the fulfillment of potential, or the seeds of a new beginning. The other 5 lines respectively, are different phases within that transformative process.
But as a whole, the energy is saying 'this is how potential is fulfilled/realised'.

I also looked at the 15 degree separation theory, and applied it to a YiJing energy that talks of 'possession of the great and the ability to be humble', this maps to the astro-grid just before 'the realising of potential', and falls between the degrees 16.9-22.5. The key line in this energy is the 4th, where yin and yang come into perfect creative balance.

When I looked at the charts, I used each planet as the the 'spring', and then looked forwards. Example, say you were born with a Moon at 15 degrees Taurus, then I would use 15 degree Taurus as the start of your natural moon cycle, so in effect 15 degree Taurus is the equivalent of Natures Spring (0 degrees Aries).

For the purposes of simplicity, we are going to call the energy that relates to 'realising/fulfilling potential' - 54.
And the energy that relates to the 'possession of the great & humbling' - 16 (these are their YiJing numbers)
Remember, the strongest line in 54 is the 5th - the true fulfillment.
The strongest line in 16 is the 4th - the balancing of yin and yang.

The Charts,
Aleister Crowleys,
In his Sun Cycle he has Mercury in 54, 2nd line.
In his Venus Cycle he has Mercury in 16, 3rd line.
In his Mars Cycle he has Saturn in 54, 5th line - the strongest position.
In his Neptune Cycle he has Pluto in 16, 5th line.
In his North Node Cycle he has Neptune in 54, 3rd line.

Kishnamurti's Chart
In his Asc Cycle he has NN in 54, 6th line.
In his Sun Cycle he has Neptune in 54, 2nd line.
In his Sun Cycle he has Pluto in 16, 4th line - the strongest position.

Founding of Theosophical Society
In the Moon Cycle, Uranus is in 16, 4th line - the strongest position.
In the Mercury Cycle, Sun is in 16, 3rd line.
In the Mercury Cycle, Vx is in 54, 5th line - the strongest position.
In the Jupiter Cycle, Venus is in 54, 3rd line.

Charles Leadbetter
In his Mars Cycle the Moon is in 54, 3rd line
In his Uranus Cycle the NN is in 54, 6th line.

Annie Besant
In her Asc Cycle Pluto is in 54, 5th line - the strongest position.
In her Pluto Cycle Mars is in 16, 3rd line.

Uranus and Pluto seem to have a link with all these people.

That was a great read! I think I have to study this methodology thoroughly too.
[Best to start with my own chart ]

Speaking of 54, here is something interesting about it with respect to Numerology.

54 = PHILOSOPHER = ENLIGHTENMENT = CONSCIOUSNESS = TRANSFORMATION = TESTOSTERONE = METAMORPHOSIS.
54 also = "CHALDEAN (27) + NUMBERS (27)"

Finding such correlations are another talent that have come up since the chakra buzz, this was not possible for me in my teenage years and even in mid twenties. But now, pattern identification and correlations are as easy as 1,2,3!

Bending spoons would be cool too but I think every soul gets only certain Kundalinic talents

Hey IQH

I didnt realise our birthdays were so close, I was born roughly 2 weeks before you, its a very interesting chart you have. Its almost like Saturn is standing at the front of the orchestra of planets and guiding the music.

It didnt surprise me to find:-
In your Jupiter Cycle, your IC is in 16, 4th line - the strongest position.
In your Pluto Cycle, your Uranus is in 54, 5th line - the strongest position.

You have both of the energies I was associating with Kundalini or higher consciousness. One other observation I made from your chart - you feel an intense attraction to the female energy. I dont mean just women, I mean the whole female vibe, its actually more intense for you than many others. And the strange thing is - you exercise a certain ammount of self control here. Its almsot like you are aware of the potential to transform the sexual energy to a creative one.

My chart:-

LOL! Our birthdays are 15 days apart!
Yup, Saturn "choke-slams" my life but never pins me for the 3 count.

Well, what you have told about me, only the deepest recess of my soul knows to be true.
Total Fascination for all aspects of the Divine Feminine.
Isis, Kali, Sekhmet, Chit Shakthi, Maya Shakthi, Adya, Kwan-Yin etc you name a Goddess and I have to learn about her.

I must deeply study IChing. I have not found your accurate discovery of
my fascination for the feminine Energy principle in traditional Astrology.

[It also means those 10 years of Chakra Meditation have done the trick for you ]

I would be immensely grateful if you could
tell me a starting point book or website, including where to learn about lines, and important numbers like 16 or 54 and the important lines.

BTW, I would never ever have guessed you to be a Gemini, your knowledge depth is very Scorpio. I feel all those born on 1977 have a special mission to comprehend the mystery of "Chiron" because it was discovered that year.

10 is the "Wheel of Forune" birthdate.
[It is not an accident that Number 10s usually carry the hopes of billions in the World's most watched sport ]

I hope your name number is 24 or 27, so that you can create anything positive easily with the esoteric reality creation methods.

8th house Mars-Venus Conjunction with Chiron makes an interesting astrological 'menages trois' to keep your girl thinking she is extremely fortunate.

Aries Moon Opposing Pluto In Libra, thats heavy on the emotions but Saturn is sextile to Pluto and Trine to Moon to minimize the damage. Virgo Ascendant Squared by Sun/Jupiter conjunction in 10th house cusp.
Personality conflict with long term ambitions? Jupiter in 9th house is a position I consider lucky.

Pluto transit a couple of years back in 15 degrees Sagi would have been very interesting for you, especially with a closer Neptune-Jupiter opposition. It was definitely a roller coaster on steroids for me [Without the safety belt sometimes...]

Our 1977 batch has the toughest challenge when transit Pluto will oppose Natal Saturn.

Numerically, when I round off the degrees of planets to the nearest integer with the simple mathematical rule of 30 minutes and above rounded to next degree, I notice that
Ascendant, Sun, Moon, Mars, Saturn, Pluto and North Node are PRIME NUMBERS. Midheaven, Jupiter and Neptune are 15 degrees [odd numbers that relate to the Magician but not prime numbers].
Only Venus with 4, Chiron with 4 and Uranus with 8 degrees are even numbers. There is symmetry here too, 4+4 = 8 and Uranus is in opposition to Venus/Chiron/Mars.

The total value of all significant planets + Ascendant + Midheaven + True Node is 189.
360 - 189 = 171. This is mathematically the closest way to divide 360 such that both halves are multiples of 19 [19 is your Solar Degree, representing Prince of Heaven]
190 = 19 x 10 and 171 = 19 x 9
And 10+9 is also 19.

Interestingly, when I remove Asc, Midheaven, Chiron and TrueNode, the total of just the planets is 128 degrees which is numerologically equal to 11 and 11 happens to be your Moon's rounded off position

And 19 + 11 = 30, the number of degrees in a Zodiac Sign. Thus, there is a lot of numerological symmetry in your chart with respect to Sun and Moon as well as PLanetary divisions and totality of significant points [ie Midheaven, Ascendant, Chiron, True Node]

What it signifies I dont know! But it is there
Maybe if you calculate your name number we can see if there is a further consistent link.

Wow, you certainly are a pattern finder We have both been fascinated by finding these patterns, though just using differing methods. I've only looked briefly at the Chaldean numerology, so I am not entirely sure as to my 'name number'. The sum of the name is 47, then 4+7=11, and I read somewhere that you do not add the 1's together again? So I think my name number is 11, not entirely sure.

There are so many translations and interpretations of the I Ching, it can be a very difficult task selecting the one that resonates with your own being the most.
Some of them are very morally based if right/wrong, good/evil, some of them use complex metaphors to describe simplistic concepts, and some of them adhere to the more simple methods. In all my searching, the best book I would reccomend for the the study of I Ching is written by Karcher & Ritsema, called "I Ching, The Classic Chinese Oracle of Change - The First Complete Translation With Concordance".
It is a very comprehensive study of all energies existing within the I Ching (about 800 pages). Nearly everything is covered here, it really would be a great place to begin and indeed end your study. The book does not deal in 'personal interpretation' of the ancient texts, it merely offers them in quite a pure form - many of the text reads like a universal poem of energy.

And many of the ideas I work with today were born from this study, but are not covered in the book.

The observation I made about the 'female principle' in your chart, was done using an I Ching energy cycle - my astrology isn't that good haha!! Thats the reason I came to this site, to augment my knowledge in this area, because I believe that all metaphysical systems have their roots intertwined, its just about establishing the relations between them (often through intuitive metaphpor).
In the I Ching cycle, the first few degrees of Cancer signify a coupling of primal energies - yin and yang in mutual meeting. It can be a very intense encounter, if we were going to compare it to something for better understanding - then compare it to the meeting of boy and girl, both magnetised by each others aura, where every moment feels powerfully significant, oozing depth, time dissapears, the merging of identities into a fuller form of no-identity, very primal.
In this intense encounter, the male energy can best understand his female counterpart if he does not 'grasp' the woman. Meaning, sometimes when we meet a girl/boy who we feel very powerfully drawn to, this meeting is not meant to last, it is just an impulsive encounter, then the winds will drive them apart again.
So on a deeper level within you, exists this fateful encounter of female/male energies, where you will have many moments in your life where you experience this brief intensity (in energy terms, the boy/girl was just a metaphor).
And each time it happens, it brings you a little more knowledge of yourself, and your relation to the world around you - and an appreciation of the 'Feminine Principal'.

As I said, this only occurs in the first few degrees of Cancer. As the Sun travels through the sign, its footsteps will tread different ground, different challenges.

The key to the I Ching energy cycles is acceptance that you are everything, you are ALL the energy - but there are certain unique expressions that you have. It is like astrology in this way - we each have a sun sign, a moon sign etc etc, they are all the expressions of our personality.
The only difference is - If we were talking about astrology in I Ching terms, then if you had a Gemini Moon, then this is just the epxression you use, you are in fact ALL of the moon signs, you possess ALL of their qualities, but we all have different dynamics.

Going even further to say - The I Ching cycles are forever perpetuating, much like Natures cycle of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, each are seen as sepaates, yet each are an essential flow, all holding hands.
There really is no distinction or separation between them, only the dynamic of the energy expressed. So the astrological house systems are just the expression also, they dont really exists as definitively as they seem. So if a planet falls in a certain house, in the I Ching method, it would also possess the qualities of all the other houses, but these would be expressed at different parts of the cycle.

In essence, there actually is no separation between houses, signs, ebergy, aspects, seasons, time - they all flow into each other. But we apply spearation to all these things beacuse it helps us see patterns, and when we see patterns we can understand our relation to the world and other people more. So in effect, we are creating imaginary divides - for the purpose that we can see there are actually no divides. A paradox, but an essential one for learning.

Oh and you mentioned the square between Sun and Asc/Dsc - this is an interesting one, and like you said, it deffinately challenges my self expression/relation to myself. On the positive side, it helps me redefine myself, it feels natural to continually grow. It can bring with it a feeling of self-loss or uneasiness, but the discomfort of it is something that has never bothered me, its a part of myself I have learnt to smile upon.

On the more negative side - Often I express things in a way that appears differently to others than they appear to myself, and it can be difficult for me to see this sometimes. The only way I can do this, is put myself in the shoes of the other person and imagine how they see the world, then I can understand myself in relation to them a little more. And... around my friends I can have a wickedly sharp, ironic sense of humour, constantly joking and making light out of heavy situations. But I found this hunmour and levity much much harder to show when I am speaking with those who dont know me, the square can inhibit much of my natural joviality (sun conj jupiter). I still have to find a way around this, because it does bother me.

Iqhunk -

Regarding the I Ching. One of the FUNNEST things I ever did was learn about it through a workbook by the author R. L. Wing, "I Ching Workbook". Really cool! Something you use on a daily basis.

I notice there are two other "workbooks" with the same name, by two other authors. But the one I'm referring to is by that author. This is the book, and check out what the cover looks like in case you run into it at the bookstore :::

www.amazon.com/gp/product/038512838X/qid=11381 22566/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/103-0442551-3059000?s=books&v=glance&n=283155

It's been a few years since I worked with it, and I'd love to do it again, from beginning to end. Not only was it really really fun and a GREAT learning tool, but also MUCH easier to follow than the original "I Ching Book of Changes" by Baynes.

Anyways, I learned so much... good times ...

Ohh another link you might like is an I Ching forum. Its a relatively small community (compared to the masses here at LL), and there are a numerous amount of philosophical and IChing related conversations. Also, many of the regular posters there are established authors of I Ching books, so you will have many viewpoints/literature availabke to you.

The link is - http://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/I_Ching_community/messages/board-topics.html

p.s. check it out too AJ

Hi guys!

I hope you don't mind me sharing a few stories. I am very excited to see this thread!

I have recently started working with my chakras too (it's been a bit less than a year). It seems like the thought just came to me about the chakras swirling and that I needed to sort of align them. It's been an information download! I had an experience last July that also contributed to my interest (and perhaps my vibrational increase as well). Certain events, not an accident i'm sure, led up to me sort of re-versing my poles and (don't laugh) I fell on my head! I injured my right front tempel. I 'fell down and broke my crown' and I saw stars afterwards ('the light in the head').

IQH I also do well with visualizing the colors for each chakra. I also sometimes use my Tibetan Singing Bowl. It dosen't always work for me (at this time) but, when it does, I can feel a tingling sensation in the back of my neck. It's more so on my left side, at the base of my skull. Do I need to close (for lack of a better word) my chakras after i'm done 'using' them? I feel so expansive after I work with them which is great! I'm just a bit concerned if I have to go into a large group of people that may not be as conscious as I am (not that i'm all high and mighty or anything like that!)

Also, IQH I found is very funny that you said 'premature activation'. I know that this is serious, so forgive me. A good friend of mine was working on raising her Kundalini snake and had a brain hemmorage. Interestingly, it was her right front tempel and it drained down to what she called the 'Mouth of God' at the base of one's skull. I say interesting because that spot is exactly where I hit my noggin. It always seems to happen that 1 thing will happen to her, then me, then her, and so on. But that is off topic of my story, heh. She went to the hospital but they could find nothing, not a thing, wrong with her! She actually thought she was going to die! That's when she realized that this was because she was not meant to, not ready to raise her Kundalini at that time. So yes, I see it can be quite dangerous.

BG I have recently experienced some of my chakras opening. That is, not flying wide open all at once, but a gradual opening. Like a flower unfolding. A friend of mine got a few ladies together to hold a group meditation. She had with her some Tibetan Holy Water that she said was carried along with some of Guatama Buddha's remains. She put a drop of that on my Crown & Third Eye. I could not stop weeping! She continued with the meditation and my Heart also opened. When I opened my (physical) eyes, everything looked solarized. What I mean is, you know how when you look at the sun or bright light accidentally? Afterwards everything looks, well, different. Kinda like being on drugs I would imagine. Ever since this happened I have been very aware of these chakras. It truly was a mystical experience for me.

Some other random stuff:

~BG you don't come across arrogant at all! It's truly just your perception. During (and after) that meditation I was a part of I was uncomfortable because I am not one who usually has such a grand emotional outburst/release. The discomfort stemmed from me worrying what the other people might think (especially since I didn't know them all and was meeting them for the 1st time!) I know that it was/is just my bird's eye view of my very own life that colored that discomfort. Same might be applied for you!

~I wonder what the significance is, if any, in regard to both you guys feeling sensations in your left tempel & Third Eye and how I feel them in my right tempel & Third Eye? Is it just because of my injury there?

~My dreams have been incredible lately too! Last big one I remember was I was being taught about the god Thoth. The only thing I know about him right now is that he is an Egyptian God & that Crowley made the Thoth deck! This is quite syncronistic since you guys mentioned Crowley here. I shall follow my leads wherever they take me...

~We 3 have our Saturn's conjunct. Mine's 14*11'03!!

Farewell! Talk to you soon!

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Hey Hexxie

When you are opening your thrid eye, its quite a natural sensation for you to feel an intensity in your temples. Its actually a good sign, and as long as you are relaxed, your body will not rush into anything before you want it. Most of us use the left side of the brain in every day life, this is where the logic and reasoning centres are. The right side of the brain is the lesser used, many regions here are only vaguely mapped. In general, the right side has the regions dealing with creativty, intuition, higher reasoning, possibly psychic abiltities. If your right temple is throbbing during third eye chakra meditation, then it is the creative areas that are receiving energy.
The third eye is a very good chakra for clearing the mind, restoring calm. It channels and balances energy in the body. The lower chakras recieve and breathe in the energy (along with the crown), and the 3rd eye maintains balance.
That is why I focus on this chakra when I have multiple chakras open, it helps me maintain focus - well focus is probably the wrong word here, because the best way to open any chakra is through non-focus
If you feel the sensations in the right temple, then the third eye will be channelling energy there - this is another reason why dreams can become very vivid, your creative centres of the brain are being refreshed.
Dont worry about 'premature activation' (hehe great wording IQH ) your mind and body are working FOR you, not AGAINST you.

Its great feeling energised after the chakra sesion, I agree If you are stressed out, maybe have a tight c hest, or stiff shoulders, then you can help yourself relax with just 2 chakras, the third - solar plexus - and the third eye. The 3rd chakra has many meanings, but in my own personal experience, its main purpose is to untie knots, release negative energy and blockages, and restore ease. So I use the 3rd chakra to unblock, and the third eye to balance. The solar plexus chakra can be quite a pleasent sensation too - sometimes when I open it, I laugh uncontrollably -you know when you have that REALL DEEP belly laugh! Just like that. If I had tv cameras in my house, I would look like one very very weird guy!
About closing the chakras - I think there can be actually a little bit of confusion here. Many might disagree with what I am to say, but this is just my experience again. The chakras dont actually 'open' or 'close'. They are always activated to some degree, they always remain open to some degree. The purpose of chakra meditation is to increase their funtionality, increase the flow of energy into the body.
When we meditate, we join our conscious with the subconscious, both processes mingle together, therefore we are merging our more intuitive selves with our more logical conscious selves. The sensations we feel is the result of this expanded awareness, and when we finish meditation, Its been my practise to just take a few deep breathes, have a nice stretch and then...well laugh some more

Wow!! I'm so glad I found this post! I too have some experiences that I could not explain... some of which are very familiar to what you guys have posted..so I'm thinking that maybe I had a "chakra-thing?/kundalini-thing?" going on.

i have felt that liquid/water sensation too. It usually started in my arms then spread throughout my body. I don't kow why it happened though. these "events" wouild happen pretty randomly. then eventually, i got the notion that I could sorta induce it-and it worked somehow (but i don't do it now)

i also have experienced that sense when I thought i was gonna die. (but see, these things sound like i'm suffering some personality disorder and sometimes I wonder, but then things happen that can't be explained...) during this "event" I was pondering about soulmates. i started to spiral and spiral my thoughts or my thoughts spiraled me...I either learned something about the notion of soulmates or I comepletely made it up and created it. anyways, i was up for days literally.

...actually when these "episodes" happen, i can't sleep. I'm full of energy. I also get very dehydrated-my mouth gets really dry. I also hear some kinda of -what sounds like- radio frequencies, but that usially happens when i have an OBE and i'm separating from my body (any expereinces with OBE's??) anyway...

let's see what else....oh! I also see colors...it lookis like they are swirling around each other like they're fighting..lol.. to become a dominant color...i don't know... at this point i'm afraid that I am crazy by the way this all sounds.... sounds become very loud too-prolly cuz my hearing gets very very acute

also i've see my ex' boyfriend's third eye. it literally looks like a third eye! and when he gets "enlightened" so to speak, or "in my bubble of energy," his third eye gets bigger and bigger. and it looked at me.

i've had all sorts of weird expereinces...

any of these sound familiar to you guys???

Thanks for the IChing links and book, BG!
Will look at AJ's link too, I got sudden hunger pangs for this subject.

BG, 11 is your Lunar Degree too so if your name number is 11, then it would have to do about finding your twin soul who matches to your inner psyche (as per the chapter on immortality in Star Signs) Maybe you have found her? She did give you a poem that usually only a Twin Soul would give. Did you look for Venus/Pluto aspects in your charts?

Patterns, patterns and patterns! I look for synchornistic patterns all the time, especially for 1.62 or Golden Ratio ones, then Pi and now for simple number matches of name/planetary degrees to indicate a closer look.

Hexxie, you need to ground yourself with "Brown" colour visualization after an intense meditation.

This way, excess Kundalini goes back to it's home in the sacrum. Kundalini is actually the Energy that also ignites our DNA Protein Codes and when she does her job correctly, we can all become immortal geniuses in the fields our Higher Selves have chosen for this particular body. You must look at your friend's chart to see if you can find a reason why you two seem to be in sync. Many of us who belong to the same "soul cluster" as told by Fayte are coming across each other to learn rapidly. Signs of the Aquarian Age in progress?
If you dreamt of Thoth, then you must have been an initiate in one of your previous lives in some mystery school and the teachings are being reactivated.
Try to get the "Kybalion" which contains ome basic teachings of Hermes Trimegistus [whom the Egyptians called Thoth.]
Crowley is of the Dark Side but he made useful contributions for everyone, especially the Tarot Deck.

Pisces-Girl, I have had a few OBEs but not too intense. I think you are experience some Pinreal Gland activation. You need to practice some simple chakra meditations or just yogic breathing to make sure none of these powerful energies go too much off balance.

Hey Pisces Girl,

You said you were up for days when you had this experience? You had lots of energy, hearing became more accute, visualisations increased etc. I have had something similar happen to me twice now, the first time happeneing when I was 21. Both times I have been unable to sleep for about 3 days - too much energy, too many thoughts/ideas - it had felt like a time where someone has left the 'knowledge tap' dripping on my head. There will be some psychologists who will say sleep deprivation will induce hullucinations, illusions etc. I agree with them, it can certainly have this effect. But this was something else, every moment felt synchronistic.
I havent had an OBE experience, but when I was younger (between the ages of 6-9) I would get a very bad fever quite a lot. The doctors said I had a 'funny' imune system, my body raised its temeperature very high to try and fight the bug. I guess I was always a very impatient child, but raising my body temperature to fight a bug may have been a little extreme lol During these fevers, everything I looked at got bigger and smaller, it got very distressing. The world would not stop moving backward anf forward, my mum would try to calm me down, but it was hard to concentrate on her when her face was changing chape all the time, and her voice sounded like an echoe.
It was quite hard to get to sleep. Then one night, I saw a green ball in the corner of my room near the ceiling. It was a bright green colour, and amazingly, it didnt move backwards and forwards, it maintained its shape and size in relation to me. I was scared at first, I shouted for my mum, told her there was a 'green ball up there', and that it didnt change shape like the rest of the world. My mum must have had her quick-thinking hat on, she just calmly said, 'oh hes come to look after you, its a friend'. I trusted my mum, so I felt no more apprehension towards it. And the great thing was, whenever I got the fever from that point forward, the green ball would return and I would fall asleep gazing at it! I even began to enjoy my ills after that, if I had a stomach ache, I would tell me mum that my tummy was becoming more 'shiny' (my young word for beautiful), or if my mum had a headache I would tell her 'dont worry mummy, thats your brain getting shiny, you will be better at maths later'.
I think the fevers were like a disconnection between my energy and physical body. Thats why the world appeared to move backwards and forwards, getting bigger and smaller.

IQH, I'm not sure. When I was younger I would imagine how my twin soul would be - and that she would challenge me endlessly! It would be a very dynamic relationship.
The girl who has my heart now - well our Venus/Pluto aspects are not especially strong.
Lets see -
My Pluto conj her Mars
Her Venus/Saturn conj my Uranus

I think there are a few trines/squares also.

We do have some close contacts in other areas though - we are opposites Gemini-Sagittarius. WE have very different perspectives about life, but thats what makes it so great! We argue/debate, exchange ideas, share views, and we do it with a mutual affection and respect, since I met her I feel like I know more about MYSELF. Parts of myself I didnt know were there, strange, I thought I knew myself well lol. You know what they say - "Just when a guy has his heart figured out, a girl comes along" Then he realises he doesnt know as much as he thought.

Other astro aspects we have tho - we have very strong nodal aspects (going on memory here)
Her North Node and DSC conj my Sun, Jupiter, MC in her 7th house.
Her South Node conj my Neptune IC - which is also conj her Ascendent/Uranus.
My North Node conj her Mars and MC
My South Mode conj her IC.

Our moons nodes all fall along each others Ascendent and Midheaven lines.

IQH, if you like patterns, then you will adore the I Ching. Thats what it is all about - finding patterns in energy.
When you familiarise yourself with the basics of it - although I am sure with your absorbtion rate of knowledge, you will be an advanced student in 2 weeks! - I can send you the energy cycles I use - they help formulate the patterns more accurately.
Take your time though, no rush

Hi BG,
I definitely think that your girl has a 99% chance to be your twin self, even without PLuto-Venus direct because you two have such excellent Nodal Links and Nodes are a stronger spiritual tie. Also, using synchronicity of the last 2 days that we have been discussing esoterics, the common astrological link which you discovered in people known to be spiritual was Pluto and Uranus. And look at you and your girl's main connection which you have written:
<<
My Pluto conj her Mars
Her Venus/Saturn conj my Uranus
>>
Her Mars is the kind of Man she desires the most. Pluto is something like your SuperHuman Self.
Your Uranus is a sum of your electrifying attributes and that is conjunct with her feminine energies. Now what about your Venus/Mars conjunct in 4 deg Taurus?
Does it aspect her Moon or Ascendant?

Your Neptune or Spiritual Attributes conjunct her Ascendant and her Uranus! That is a major link too, especially since her North Node opposes this meaning complementary spiritual targets?

Technically and Synchronistically, there is a true spiritual-level love possibility here.

Hey IQH,

My venus/mars sextile her moon
and they trine her sun/neptune
and they oppose her pluto.

Question:- Is it possible for a girl to be your twin soul if she does not like football?

On a more serious note - Are you familair at all with Mayan mathematics/calenders?
They had remarkably accurate data on the solar system, particularly the cycles of Venus. There is a link between their calendric calculations and sunspot cycles. I tried applying the I Ching energy cycles to the Mayan calender, just to see if there was a pattern between solar activity and evolutionary events on Earth. I believe we are approaching a solar minimum at the moment, which is actually more of a catalyst to change than a solar maximum, so 2006 should be a year of significant transformation.

There is one guy I know who has applied the I Ching energies to a binary system of mathematics. It relates closely to DNA structure, and he is trying to map the I Ching to neurology. Its a far less 'spiritual' approach, and it lacks a good expression, but there are some interesting bits to his work.
I tried developing a similar system, less mathematically inclined, and more based on synchronicity rather than the factor of random chaos and probability.
It's a little confused at the moment, I took a break from it, decided to relax for a while. But I found direct cirrelations to Einsteins energy principle of E=MC2, where energy forever perpetuates itself. In the I Ching, most of the energies can be broken down to their most basic form - much like radiation reduces particles to simpler states. But there are some energies that cannot be broken down, they perpetuate themselves, maintain their form, and it seems that these are the actual catalysts for change itself.
I then studied past natural disasters, earthquakes, volcanoes, the tsunami etc, to see if any of these 'catalyst energies' were in an active part of the cycle when the event occurred. There were some nice discoveries. As I said, when you get familair with it all, I'll show you some of the stuff you can do with it. With a mind like yours, you should be able to see things I've missed.
