I've been staring at the list of asteroids on astro.com for so long, my eyes are hurting! Does anyone know of asteroids that can point to delusions, fantasies and/or wishful thinking? Loving this forum, btw - I have been dabbling with asteroids since it appeared, lol!

Did you check my thread on links. You can see which asteroids are prominent in your chart or your partners.

Delusions---I will have to think about that.

Well, Neptune traditionally encompasses these themes...as to specific asteroids...I guess you re talking about SELF-delusion.

Being Greek, my mind always wanders to greek mythology when thinking of asteroid-themes
I think one figure that I would consider was linked with self-delusion was Agamemnon... (911) Agamemnon
He sacrificed his own daughter to be able to sail for Troy and never thought of the consequences (his own wife killed him upon his return). He took Achilles' lover, again without considereing how pride would motivate Achilles to bring about a dispute. For me, that is wishful thinking/self delusion that things would work out and not seeing consequences (also, disregarded Cassandra's advice/prophecy not to go back into his home and eventually, death).

Now, for deception of others, see Sisyphus(1866)
