Raperri,

are you calling me an idiot?

Well, if there is an asteroid IDIOT I am sure it may be conjunct my Sun, Moon, ASC or NN.

Yes, Boda is the Spanish word for marriage.
And no, just in case someone wonders, I am NOT dead certain that I have the RIGHT selection of asteroids there.

Still interestingly in the few synastries I have been checking by now, it seems to give pretty accurate results.

But knowing myself, give me a few weeks time, and I will be back with a new or modified theory.

Actually my eldest theory (or ideas) on that matter was this one: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/014547.html

An more recent one:
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/019007.html

I am just searching.

BTW Geo,

what you wrote made absolute perfect sense to me.

So what is passion?
Is it a melding of romantic and sexual attraction? (probably combined with intimacy, also?)

Observations:

Where MARRIAGE has been an emphasized theme or outcome in the relationship:

JUNO, GROOM, BRIEDE, BODA, SATURN, NN, & DC have been aspected by one another.

The aspects have been mostly conjunct, opp, or square.

Meta,

"JUNO, GROOM, BRIEDE, BODA, SATURN, NN, & DC have been aspected by one another.

This finding is congruent with what I found, too. Especially the conjunction and opposition.

Rasperri,

noone HAS to do it like this.
I am just trying to find a system for me, which will reflect the actual dynamic there is in a synastry.
I feel we need a systematic approach for this, or otherwise we will get easily fooled by some single connections that we place much emphasis on, because it is what we LIKE to see, and we ignore the rest that may not be so nice.

But I donīt think that this system is the end of all.

Actually I am very hesitant, if BML even belongs there, as she indicates a very specific, slightly dark, kind of attraction.
Maybe Aphrodite would make more sense, or even Lust, as Comica suggested.

It`s not finished yet.

But the fact that it seemed to have shed some light on some synastries as Lara mentioned, shows (for me) that I may be on the right path.

This is sort of off topic, but besides looking at asteroids that MAKE a relationship, shouldn't we also construct a list of asteroids that can BREAK or HINDER a relationship? Because though some of these synastries contained Briede/Groom/NN/Whatever conjunctions, these relationships also ended in divorce...

Hey DD,

IQ has been kind enough to look at my chart. Can you also please provide your insights. The more information I get from different people, the better it is.

Here is my link where you can find my synastry aspects

Thank you, IQ

What asteroids would you change?
Taking BML out and Aphrodite in, as I am very much inclined to do now?

Lindagreg,

have you posted the actual charts somewhere?

Meta,

yes, that thought crossed my mind, too. But I am not yet sure which asteroids or planets would imply that, that is why I left out this category.
In my first draft I actually had a category called "Nasties". lol

Hi DD,

I wonder how Synastry looks like with all those Asteroids.
You need Chart big as a field or football place to put all of them.

LindaGreg,

there were some connections in the synastry that I want to point out:

°his Uranus conjunct your Saturn
even though this is generational, it could point to how he shakes up (Uranus) your status quo (Saturn), probably leading you to rethink some older thought patterns

° your Sun conjunct his True Node and Pluto
Wow! That is what I call intense!
The Sun-NN-conjunction could point to the "fated" quality of this meeting (fated does not guarantee forever though); you will probably have an important impact on his lifepath, even if he does not realize that.
His Pluto on your Sun may feel "hypnotic"; he can totally transform your Self.

° your Pluto conjunct his Eros
another one that makes me say WOW; very intense erotic and passionate attraction, probably especially for him, as it is his Eros that is being triggered

° your Uranus on his IC
you may shake up his ideas about family and home

Is your Valentine trine his DESC?
Well that would be pretty romantic and loving, I guess.

Hey DD,

That is so sweet of you. Thank you so much. So at least this proves it is not just me being cukoo in my head. About that whole thing of our meeting being fated (although may not be permanant), I can sense in it. But I have some questions for both you and IQ. I'll try my best to explain it logically.

Ok, this guy is an American who came to Australia on a business pretext in order to forget a woman that he loved (at least that is what he says). I am an Indian who came and intially settled here with my college sweetheart and eventually broke up after 9 years of our relationship as we didn't see eye to eye on some fundamental issues like marriage, children, parents etc

Although I do not have any experience in dating any more than these 2, I feel that I am just a hopeless romantic at heart. When I was with my ex, I gave my heart to him with utter dedication and loyalty. In return he gave me nothing but heartbreak with his womenizing attitude. He waited for the opportunity and one fine day, he said he did not want to share his life with me anymore now that we have nothing in common and left for Dubai permanantly.

Now coming to this second guy, in reality he is not even a proper match me; he is older by 16 years; we are from different backgrounds;although we agree on everything that my ex and I fundamentally disagreed upon, but we still are two different people; Oh btw, he has a roving eye; he cannot resist from meeting new women all the time. He says he is a loner, but I think that is just a facade. I don't even see the possibility of us living together under one roof with all this social stigma attached. I am sure he might feel the same way.

But I am not worried about the fact that we cannot lead a normal life like rest of the couples; In fact, that would kill the entire excitement in this relationship. I just want to keep it alive as much as possible.

Now here is my dilema...

a) I am not sure whether he has a genuine love for me just as much as I have for him. I can live without sex my entire life, but I cannot tolerate disloyalty and fakeness in affection. This is what has killed my 1st relationship, which ulimately manifested into my deep fear of committment to marriage or children

b)I told him about my true feelings for him to which he said that he was not ready for a "commited relationship" despite knowing my stance on it. I sensed that he had lot going on behind my back.

So I picked up my guts and on 3rd January 2010, the day after his birthday, I told him in his face that I no longer wished to contact him or be contacted after where we are heading. That was a gut wrenching experience; no matter I liked it or not, I felt that was the right move. Since then I quit my job just so that I can cope with this loss. I get this strange feeling that we have a deeper connection that we know. Am I right, or am I going cukoo in my head again?

c)Is there a future to this un-orthodox / un traditional / strange attraction? Will he ever make a move towards me in order to seek a balanced long distance relationship?
