Neptune5: I would like to offer a different slant on your perceptions above
  • Martha-Lang Westcot says of Hebe 'As The Cupbearer to the Gods' (before Ganymede replaced her) Hebe rules occupation where "waiting on" others is the job: waitresses, bartenders, sales persons, and domestic workers. It comes into play in situations where service attitudes are required. Hebe is the Handmaid, the person who serves others. Hebe also carries other implications. In 'serving others' Hebe as Cupbearer to the little god of egocentricity-caters to the self centered or immature demands of others - and she becomes an Enabler or co-dependant. This part of her nature is reflected in her glyph (looks like a Martini glass) the wineglass of Bacchus becomes a triangle; Hebe is the missing link that supports the behaviors of the dependent (sometimes addicted) personality. In aspect to Bacchus, one finds the classic co-dependency triangle, the addiction, the addicted person, and the enabler. but even in the absence of substance abuse there is support for helping to maintain addictive syndrome behavior patterns.
  • Astraea firmly believes that it ain't over 'till it's over' it tends to stay too long at the fair; it "hangs in there" long past the point of determination or stubborness; it is willing to "watch Rome burn" (all the way to the ground) Astraea is the place where (and those circumstances under which) you will "go down with the ship) She goes on in this vein, and then says; Astraea wants things proven/finished "beyond a shadow of a doubt" and thus is a form of overkill.
  • Martha unfortunately has no writting of Anteros but I would offer that an important point about Anteros is that he is generally regarded as the god of requited love, however - he is also the punisher of those who scorn love, and the advances of others; or, the avenger of unrequited love

Node,

how would you interprete a gal`s Anteros exactly conjunct a guy`s Mars (orb: 0°02 - that`s pretty exact!) and a guy`s Anteros exactly trine a gal`s Venus?

darkdreamer: I find it difficult, if not impossible to isolate a certain aspect and have an accurate perception. I would first look at both natals closely. What sign the Males Mars is in? What House, modality, etc. What condition is the natal Mars in? And apply the same things to the females Anteros. I have to look at the big picture first (natals), feel I understand it, and then- only then - try to understand the contact (0 degree!) it is important. I will offer this off the top. Conjunctions while generally regarded at LL in SYNASTRY as benific (it can be) people should perhaps also realize that the Conj. also indicates stress. And with Mars involved - particularly in a Male's chart I would consider this closely. The Trine should be harmoneous. But again look at your natals and listen to your intuition DD. I think you'll know.

Node,

well, you`re certainly right about looking at the natals.

So, okay, the male`s Mars is in Scorpio as well as my Anteros; they are 2° before the cusp of my 12th house.
That Mars-Anteros-conjunction is also square my Moon in Aquarius and trine my Vertex, Eros, Pan-conjunction in Cancer in my 8th house.
In his horoscope the Mars-Anteros-conjunction is also widely conjunct his Venus (by 6°), which of course means his Venus-Mars-conjunction in Scorpio is also trine my Eros, Vertex, Pan in Cancer. Hmm.

Let`s see what do we have here:
His planets: Venus, Mars
My planets / asteroids: Anteros, Eros, Pan, Saturn, Moon

signs: Scorpio, Cancer (with a bit of Aqurius - my Moon)
houses (only mine): 12th house and 8th house (and 2nd house, because my Moon is in it)

There`s a lhittle bit much water-energy, isn`t there?
Yet I still don`t know how to interprete this.
It seems to be a sexually potent combinationh, since Venus, Mars, Eros, Pan and Anteros are all somehow connected with sexual relations.
And it`s probably not a superficial thing, but quite transformative (8th house and Vertex), and possibly karmic (His Venus in my 12th house; his Mars conjunct my 12th house cusp).
His Mars somehow activates my Anteros. But what does that mean?
His male Ego (his Mars)wakes up my, yes, what does he wake up?
Sorry, I`m at a total loss here.

Yes, there`s a website: astro.com

You can go there, and scroll down until you see the box for "additional objects", you can write the asteroid`s numbers into the little box below the box with Vertex, Part of Fortune etcetera.

Here are some numbers:

Eros: 433
Psyche: 16
Sappho: 80
Pan: 4450
Anteros: 1943
Aphrodite: 1388
Adonis: 2101
Cupido: 763

Of course there are many more; you can search for them on astro.com, too.
Those asteroids I chose, are all related to love and attraction btw.

DD: I think you have a pretty good handle on it! Your Moon fixed, air, 'mental' brushing up against a fixed, water, transformitively sexual Mars. I bring your Moon into this because an Aqua Moon might find all of this intensity a little uncomfortable. I'm gonna quote Martin Schulman from his Astrology of Sexuality The quote explains some 11th House {Aquarius} energy. The 11th is not an easy house to understand.
  • It deals with the term impersonal. An important word to assimilate if one is to make any attempt to understand Aquarian energy particularly when applied to the Moon. Quote:...We can do this through the eleventh house. When sexual attachment becomes too intense (Anteros Conj Mars?) we can experience an impersonal consciousness through this house. The sign on the cusp of the 11th shows what we have to gain by being impersonal.
  • The traditional dreams that the 11th symbolizes are what the individual is acting out when he needs to relax. He should remember that when he uses his eleventh house too much, he becomes the dream that he uses to escape from reality. Once he becomes this dream, he may have difficulty knowing the difference between the dream and reality, as happens so much with individuals who keep taking on impersonal disguises to mask what they are really seeking. The art of being impersonal can be extremley effective when one knows how to use it and can balance it with the personal nature. But, not everybody truly understands what being impersonal means. There are literally thousands upon thousands of people following spiritual leaders who are trying to lead an impersonal lifestyle. They are actually giving up their needs for the development of values (second house), their creative abilities (fifth house) and the biological or unconscious need for sexual expression (eigth house) in order to do this.*forming the 2 squares and opposition to the 11th*--- The question arises "Are they running to something? Or from something?" He goes on, and then brings up the 5th and 11th polarity which represent the balance we need to achieve.
  • I know all of this seems far afield from your original question--> maybe our resident expert lqHunk will see this and give a diffinitive reply. But the obvious fascination that this and other aspects the two charts hold made me feel I should respond about the Scorpio/Aquarian energy that your Natal Anteros is making you aware of, by being stimulated by the Scorpio Mars

well excuse my mistake for putting credibility into a website, i apologize, didn't know how stupid i was!
Meanwhile, I thought 78orange was asking:

...for the asteroids I posted, despite if he did or did not know the associations I gave were wrong.

------------

So for everyone thats going to post here, this is correct:

quote:
Eros: 433
Psyche: 16
Sappho: 80
Pan: 4450
Anteros: 1943
Aphrodite: 1388
Adonis: 2101

Enjoy!

sorry for the confusion, i just went off, i have to stop doing that, well that was only once but still, i was the one confused because i don't stop to think and interpret things the way they should be,

i thought because the asteroids i wrote in my 1st post were kind of off kilter, that i was wrong and was being insulted, god, i really need therapy. Sometimes i misuse my intution, it goes out of control, or i think somethings intuition and its not. One of my many mistakes Node, no hard feelings, its cool.

Neptune5,

I`m sorry; I didn`t want to highjack your thread. It`s just that I`m intrigued by asteroids, but the ones you named, were very unfamiliar to me; but I didn`t want to make you feel as if I was ignoring your original thread.
I just have so many questions regarding asteroids. That`s the reason I asked Node about those syn aspects.

Node,

regarding your interpretation:
Wow! I`m floored.
Especially the stuff about using my dreams as some kind of hideaway, feels so like me.
It`s true, there`s a very strong sexual attraction I feel, and the moment I became aware of it, I did everything I could to kind of "soften" it. And whenever something like this happens, my Aquarius-Moon is prepared to help me out of this situation by analyzing those feelings, until they feel harmless or are completely gone. Yes, I think I have a tendency to run away from my feelings, especially if they involve physical matters.
But this man reminded me, that I actually have a body and have the right to use it. lol
This thought is endlessly fascinating and yet frightening to me, since I`ve been living in my head and mind for a very long time.
