quote: I'm a 5th house sun too! -8th
Did I know that? Isn't it interesting that my Sun and Moon fall in the opposite houses? ___________________________ My Academia is at 9 degrees Scorpio in the 6th house. (I wonder if that makes school feel like work.) It sits between my Moon/Mercury midpoint (8 degrees) and my Mercury/Pluto midpoint (10 degrees), Mars/Uranus midpoint (also 10 degrees). The only major aspect it makes is a sextile to my Sun and Jupiter in Capricorn (oh, I suppose it also squares my IC/MC line). IP: Logged |

I have Academia in the eighth, conjunct my Moon by one degree and quintile my sun (0 degrees), then it squares my North Node. So apparently I'm academically-inclined or inherently suited to it, but it's not what I'm supposed to be doing in this life.IP: Logged |

My Academia is at 16Gem46 in the 5th house. It is exactly trine 16Pluto45 in the 8th sextiles 17Jup08 in the 7th. I have taught, both in academic settings and workshops for adults, I am multi-degreed, have tons of certificates and I see school as a form of enjoyment. I am still in school actually, getting a 2nd masters. I’ll never be done learning, there is always something new. The Sabian Symbol is: THE HEAD OF A ROBUST YOUTH CHANGES INTO THAT OF A MATURE THINKER. Progression from robust participation in outer things to a realization of deeper realities. Inborn wisdom. Steady growth.( http://www.cornerstone-astrology.com/sabian_symbols.php?sign=Gemini) This is interesting because I wasn’t always into school and I preferred “playing” and I went back to college after a (not so long now that I think about it) hiatus, and I haven’t left since.

This is me, exactly. But unfortunately it's starting to look like that's just not in the cards for me - looks like things are playing out exactly how that square to the North Node, said they would. IP: Logged |

Academia is tightly sextile my Mars/Uranus and trine BML Lilith - I have had the opportunity to study in my life and have been pretty motivated to do whatever I did in some depth. Got 2 university degrees as well as a bunch of other diplomas and certificates. Also the asteroid UNIVERSITAS 905 (university) closely trines my sun and is opposite my Jupiter.IP: Logged |

How about everyone else? Where is your Academia?
That is soo cool you see academia as a luxury!!

I just checked my academia and it conjuncts my NN and falls under my 7th house in gemini and this makes a lot of sense as I do learn best with one on one interactions and through interacting with my significant other. My significant others are typically really smart types who teach me things, otherwise I would lose interest. My partner has to teach me things on an ongoing basis to keep me interested. I like to be intellectually stimulated by who I date. Academia also squares my moon, opposes my neptune and sextiles my venus and mars. I have to say it hit it right home academia landing in my 7th house . Academia aspecting my moon (I have moon in Pisces) and Neptune show my interest in teaching psychology and healing others through helping them get in touch with themselves {counseling, I have 4 more classes to go and I will have my masters in psychology). The aspect to mars shows that I am driving to learn more and the aspect to Venus shows that what I am learning has to be a subject I am passionate about.IP: Logged |

Your academia landing in your fifth house I would imagine implies you would be good at teaching a younger crowd or teaching your own children. Or perhaps you learn from your own children. What do you think about this? Does it ring a bell? Or perhaps it can also mean that the education of your children is extremely important to you or that you feel passionate about young people receiving a good education. Perhaps it also implies that your teaching style tends to be fun as opposed to serious. Perhaps you tend to joke around while you teach. I have to say those are the best teachers. IP: Logged |

Interesting.....you got me thinking. I don't think the square means that is not meant to be part of your path in this lifetime but more like an obstacle or challenge that you need to work on this lifetime in order to evolve to your higher self. IP: Logged |

Mine is in Capricorn house 8Sextiles Venus(Pisces) Opposes Jupiter and Ceres(Cancer) Yeah, I haven't always been lucky in this department. But some how I graduated high school. I struggled a lot middle-high school...but when I seeked help from higher ups...they where almost always willing to give me the time to help me bring up my grade. Cause they usually knew I was a good kid trying my best. But I really see how this plays out in just the signs alone. Cancer the comfort zone sign, being opposed by Cappy the sign of working your ass off til you status is boosted. since first grade, school has never been a comfortable place for me to be. It just feels like such an unnatural thing for me...the waking up early, and learning all day? and then when your done your expected to do homework? How am I suppose to have a life and enjoy it? But then the older I got I realized I have to do this sh!tty stuff if I ever want to be done with school...I realized it's better to get high school over with so I'm not taking night school in my 20's...and with a diploma I will have more doors open to me. I feel like now that I'm older I'm better at compromising the opposition...I take classes but still try keep it as comfortable and stress free as possible...When I take classes I usually only take two at a time. Being a part time student feels way more comfortable for me. My quote in the year book was "High school, just do it." And yes I was one of those kids my senior year that said "When I graduate, I just want to take a break" and I did I had a wild summer, did lots of stupid fun things, then settled down and moved in with a guy I barely knew, got a minimum wage job...realized I could do better, moved back in with parents, and started community college, and have a better job that I enjoy that required "some college". (Luckily I had one blow off college class under my belt heehee) I am taking a break right now though...cause I went a year with out taking one. And it started taking a toll on me in the summer...I know how I get when I don't have a break...but I plan on going back this winter. And actually look kinda forward to it.

It's in Gemini in my 5th house:Moon - Ge 22’36 Mnemosyne -Gem 22’44 Academia - Gem 23’53 NN - Gem 19 Mnemosyne - memory? Mother of the muses? Not sure but it's interesting, especially conjuncting my moon and Academia. And maybe Moon conjunct NN means I should be doing what I love? I'm not a teacher, but I am a writer and life-long spiritual student. I have a degree in Philosophy and I loved studying that in college, especially Hindu/Vedantic philosophy. I've thought off and on about getting a doctorate in Philosophy. IP: Logged |

I have it in my 10th house in Scorpio, conjunct Saturn. Any ideas of what this means? I hope it doesn't mean what my mom likes to call me: a "professional student". This is the last degree that I will do. I'm burned out and need to work.IP: Logged |

I have mine in my Libra 1st house, just out of orb for a conjunction to my Ascendant (yeah, just missed the bus!). It squares my Saturn in the 3rd, which speaks for itself. Lots of delay in my education and learning in general. But I keep working hard. Square Neptune: too dreamy, easily distracted, in my own world, not really getting the material clearly all affected it too. Square Chiron: again goes without saying. Lots of hurt over being so slow and things just not working like with everyone else around me. Conjunct Mean BML: I was definitely on my own there and easily fell to the sidelines. Never felt like I was truly accepted by my classmates and easily got outcasted.
