How has that placement played out in your life? I have it too. As for the person I lost my virginity to, her mars was exactly conjunct my vesta. IP: Logged |

Ha!He was my lab partner / best friend in college. I'd turned 21 and decided - hey! Let's get this virginity thing all sorted out. Conjunct within 3 degrees. Wide, but not bad. I didn't want an actual relationship. Just a FWB thing. We remained close long after I started dating someone seriously. Stayed good friends despite distance and life changes for 11 years. It was his, too. No wonder. I initially thought it's too slow-moving, too, but honestly, he's all the way in April '81 from my October '80; and it's within 3 degrees. That surprised me. One of my exes, Feb '80, had his in Taurus. Loose square. But the fact that Vesta was in late Leo again 6 months later - ? That's not exactly turtling along. More than anything, I'm curious about the 2-degree conjunction I've got going on between my Sun (and Pluto) with someone's Vesta. It's active, too - loosely trining his Eros-Venus and Psyche-Mars (which quindeciles my Venus). The very issue of sex, and our intense attraction from the get-go, has played a very powerful role in our dynamic. And, had circumstances played out differently, I would have been his first. I'd still be his first where it really mattered, and was an intense bonding. I guess that's how the Sun/Pluto-Vesta is playing out. My own Vesta is sextile his within a degree, and exactly opposite his Venus/Mars AND Eros/Psyche. That could explain a lot. -A. IP: Logged |

Hmm with my husband, he was my first and I was not his, and our aspects are - my husband's Vesta is quincunx my Saturn (0º40') and my Vesta is semi-sextile his Venus (1º11'), conjunct his Saturn (4º45') and Pluto (3º52') and trine his AC (2º17'). My Vesta is in Scorpio and he has Scorpio Sun.Not sure if these counts, just adding data for this thread study. :P IP: Logged |

The college ex, her Vesta was 3 degrees orb of being sesquiquadrate my Vesta (138 degrees, a little wide). Her Vesta (estimated as I didn't have birth time/place), however, was very much trine my Sun/Saturn. My vesta is Quincunx her Chiron in Taurus, our Nessus/Sirius in Cancer (basically forming a Yod), and kited by her Dejanira in Gemini. Also trines her Jupiter in Leo (3 degree orb). Also squares her Saturn/North Node in Virgo (2-3 degree orb). So some hard and soft aspects. The her Vesta to my Sun trine leads credence to this theory. I was her second, and have no idea about her first's chart. IP: Logged |

Still a virgin - and, to my frustration, that doesn't look like it will be changing anytime soon - so I can't testify to this theory, but I WAS wondering if someone could shed a little light on Vesta retrograde? It's in Cancer in the 3rd house, to be specific.IP: Logged |

Anything Retrograde means that one must go inside deeply into the workings of the planet or asteroid before one can come out. I will explain in a practical way. With Merc Retrograde, which I have, I needed to study a subject in depth before I could use it. So, when I took biology, I needed to understand the roots of everything before I could make sense of the functioning. With AStrology, I can't just spout of placements. I need to get deeply behind the eyes of each placement before I can use them.
For Vesta, you want to help and you have a sacrificial kind of way of service but you need to go deep within yourself to understand this more before you can use it. Does that make sense? To me, the hardest Retro is Venus and I would call that very hard. ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. I have a friend with Venus retrograde. Their love life is... interesting to say the least. I'm afraid I'm not quite understanding what you mean, unfortunately. Could you be more specific about the "going deep within" thing? IP: Logged |
