JUNOJuno, "the Queen of the Gods," was the wife of Jupiter. She endured her husband's legendary unfaithfulness while her fidelity to him was well known. She took great care of her beauty, and was considered the patroness of marriage and fertility. Ina birth chart Juno indicates a concern with all relationships from the need for a committed, fulfilling relationship to the issues of inequality and injustice that can erupt between partners. Juno's influence corresponds to that of Libra and Scorpio. Juno Also seems to be the symbol of "Fascinating womanhood," the image of a women objected to by feminists. It can indicate the desires or dreams of a woman for a traditional role of a wife, or in the charts of men, their image of women. Examples: A woman who finds it easy to fascinate men (heads turn when she enters a room) could have Juno conjunct her ascendant. Larry Flynt, publisher of Hustler magazine, has a close midheaven-Juno square http://www.astrology3d.com/educenter/asteroids.html IP: Logged |

yfis, are you hinting that you are one sexy (and sexually stable) lady?so.. i know that juno conjunct juno is supposed to be good.. but what does it actually MEAN; how do we whittle it down from its myriad "meanings" into something more substantive? or any juno contacts in synastry? is it just about the desire for fidelity within the context of fascination? and that both people have the same desires and the same basic fidelitous nature? or something? just curious! Juno in Aries in the 1st house here ... the only major aspect is a trine to Neptune. I tend to be somewhat elusive, you know, hard to get to know. But then again, I have Pisces rising with Neptune conjunct the MC squaring the Ascendant. I've never really been attracted to an Aries guy. However, my SO has a strong Mars (conjunct the MC and his chart ruler Jupiter).A girl I know is kind of a femme fatale ... she has Juno tightly conjunct Venus in Libra. IP: Logged |

I would disagree with this source's interpretation of feminists. I don't think feminists object to any sort of precise image - they simple believe in equal rights and opportunities, and most importantly, personal choice and freedom . . . Just my two cents! In my chart, Juno is in Aquarius in the Eighth House. It makes a square aspect to Pluto (4.30 degrees) and a trine aspect to Chiron (2.37 degrees). What the hell does that mean? IP: Logged |

Juno is one of those astro things I just haven't put all that much thought into yet, really. Maybe it's my brand of feminism that keeps me from giving a crap how "fascinating" I am to men, I don't know.Mine's in Taurus in H6, conjunct Mercury and trine my natal moon in Capricorn. ------------------ "You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction." http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/Juno21.3.html I think Bob does a credible job on Juno. 8th isn't just about sex as the man says elsewhere. Taxes is another - but I don't recommend discussing them as foreplay IP: Logged |
