Zeus is the father of Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes and many others. Even the gods who Zeus did not father had called him "Father". After the battle with the Titans, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon ruled the worlds by drawing lots. Zeus got the sky, Poseidon the sea, and Hades the Underworld. Because the Earth could not be claimed, it was shared based on the gods abilities, which is why Poseidon is called Earthshaker, and Hades got the souls of those who died.

Zeus had fathered many gods from many different mistresses, and its said he had only three with Hera - Ares, Hephaestus, and Hebe. There were also some gods that were fathered in a sort of asexual means, such as Aphrodite who was born out of sea foam and Athena who was born of a headache of Zeus'.
