I can't imagine myself actually being a healer, but I will admit that throughout my life, I wanted to be a healer.Whether or not I actually have healing capacities is something I honestly cannot answer at this moment ------------------ [Insert catchy signature here.] IP: Logged |

FYI, Panacea is number 2878Could this be where you are to receive healing instead of give healing? IP: Logged |

I've been observing Sabian symbols in charts and it seems as though it may represent an area where the native is to receive help in healing themselves. Let me know how that fits for you. IP: Logged |

I have Panacea in the 12th in Leo, conjunct Uranus (1). Uranus, incidentally, is strong in my chart. It squares my SUN and is opposite Chiron.Panacea opposite Chiron again! The Sabian is rather complicated - : AN EPIDEMIC OF THE MUMPS. KEYNOTE: The spreading power of individual crises through a collectivity. Self-healing isn't exactly evident in the message. However, I have Hygeia and Reiki conjunct Saturn, which indicate a past life healing skill. OR, it may mean that I will heal myself of a common disease.

Panacea= a cure for everything. The universal remedy. to my mind this indicates "where" to go to access your source energy...that which fixes everything. Interesting...mine is also opposite chiron AND the release point of my t-square. In a sign that has nothing else very significant. Perhaps it explains why I don't feel v wounded by my chiron. It also trines my asc and the Great Attractor and sextiles my Angel asteroid. Nice! IP: Logged |

Very helpful explanation Catalina. It would be interesting to see how many people have Panacea opposite Chiron and whether they feel supported or healed in some way. I, for one, have been through s**t and survived it! I also have Panacea as part of a T-square!! Perhaps other supportive aspects helped too, e.g., Jupiter in the first house on Regulus.

I know, right? This page started to make me wonder if they had one of those orbit patterns that kept them opposite. I checked just a couple of other chsrts that show that not everybody has the opposition with chiron - but a very small sampling. It would be interesting to see what the patterns are Interestingly when I googled them the first thing that came up was a vaccine company called Chiron Panacea. IP: Logged |

I also have never felt very wounded by Chiron; he is more of a gift to me. My Panacea is not opposite Chiron, but it is in an exact trine to my ASC/Chariklo (Chiron's wife) and very widely (5) trine Chiron. Panacea is in my 8th house, and exactly conjunct my current love's Pluto, so now I know why I'm so (relatively) comfortable with deep, dark and sexy things. IP: Logged |

I did a sample of 21 charts of widely dispersed birthdates for me, friends, relatives, and famous people. I only came up with 1 person who had a Chiron-Panacea opposition, and that was the Beatle George Harrison, very wide at 4 degrees. 12 had no Panacea-Chiron aspect at all; the remainder were 4 trines (one of which was wide at 4 degrees), 1 conjunction, 1 bQ, 1 semisquare, and 1 sextile. I believe the Panacea orbital period is about 4 1/2 to 5 years, but I don't know how irregular/chaotic it is. IP: Logged |

Great placements Karka! Apollo was also God of healing, so Panacea and Apollo together makes very good sense. I have these conjunct other planets/points: Wisdom and Mars Panacea and Uranus Apollo and GC

Good info D423. So with Chiron having a 50+ yr orbit there are tons of possibilities and hard to calculate off the cuff since chiron's orbit is irregular even if Panacea's isnt.Thank god for online ephemerides IP: Logged |

Hmm. I have it in my Libra 1st house, tightly sextile my Sun and trine Ceres (both 1 degree orb). Conjunct BML exact Quintile Uranus Astro also shows a very loose square to my Moon, but I find it too wide for an asteroid to be honest. (4.22d)So I think curing would be part of my nature and a way to nurture others (Sun + Ceres). There were times I was so depressed I saw relationships as the thing that would "save" me - the cure for all of my problems. So that works. But what's BML doing in the middle of all of this?
