I only went to have a look because I didn't know if she had found that you had dodo on your asc or if you fell for a joke....I just know it made me laugh until I thought about it for a minute...lol.

Yes Arcturus! In my early childhood my first language was french, and I had heard that phrase of "faire dodo" whenever my Aunt was urging me to sleep (not talk! ) when laying down to take a nap. There are songs made for children's listening that include that phrase.

Note: Some of the older asteroid websites definitions had one site with guys who went through periods of being heavily sarcastic, coarse, and 'ridiculous'. Some of their work was based on good research. But really? Other times they were 'not' taking it seriously! .. They went through a time of being goofy, lazy with what they were doing. They took some things literally and shallow.

It was interesting to watch their evolution, as they added more and more asteroids to their list of astrologically applied meanings. At one point they were involved heavily into political activism. You could tell when they didn't like someone in govt or politics as they would 'skew' the meanings of the asteroids to look super bad in that particular chart.

I think some of the astronomers were good sports when the asteroids were named after them, and these guys used their 'name' in an off-or-awful way.. Had to be good sports, making light fun of their own names? .. if they knew?

Probably surprised them in later decades that their work was ACTUALLY being used, considered. I don't think they expected that. Maybe it was just a place for them to be creative? .. Another 'tab' under one man's work included English Lit, short stories, poetry they liked. .. It seemed like a personal collection of things he wanted to collect-- maybe not expecting that there would be SO much interest, in this Century, about their journal-type work over time, from when they were much younger.

Think about the bird, and its qualities.
Do research about the bird.
Then according to the house and aspects, you can test out different meanings for how this bears true for you?

What makes it count, is how it applied in your own chart, according to your own history.

Note too that, some asteroid meanings might change over the decades that you live. Cool surprise how some asteroid words/names come back with a new association.
