I ask because my soul mate (brother) and I have the DNA connections.
My DNA is conjunct my DSC and his IC.
His DNA is conjunct my NN.

We also have Eros/Iris conj his ASC square Psyche/Iris conj my DSC and his IC.

Have you checked the Composite chart for Anubis aspecting the ASC/DSC axis?
this usually shows with spiritual partnerships.
with me/him it was conjunct the DSC (0).

It is the same person!!! I didn't even make the connection because when I calculate these separately, often I don't remember ALL the asteroid placement

Just to make it more interesting, here's a picture!

His Lilith (asteroid) also conjuncts my NN. hmm.

In composite Anubis doesn't aspect the AC/DC axis however DNA conjuncts the ASC.
Anubis sits in 7th house. Vertex is conjunct the DSC.

Again in the composite, the only aspect Anubis makes from the few asteroids I have entered in is opposition to Child asteroid in 1st.

In composite Iris is conjunct Venus.

Psyche is conjunct Uranus in the 8th house and they are sesquiquadrate to the composite ASC.
Uranus is my chart ruler, and natally his Moon in Aquarius conjuncts my ASC so I feel this is significant as well.

Ours is definitely a soul mate relationship, and we did have a proper relationship for a little while.

We have a couple of synastry connections, eg Mercury on the South Node and I always felt brotherly with him even in a relationship (without that sounding really wrong). We g3t along in the same way my brother and I get along mentally which is a good thing because I am close to my brother and family is important to me. He had the same relationship with his sister (so we are both part of a pair of brother and sister) and we all got along very well all with a similar sense of humour even though there are big ish age differences (goes to show age doesn't matter).
