I would like your opinion on your relationship with your Nessus.
Mine is the hardest part of my chart for me.
It does not do much.It opposes Child which shows my mother.
However,it is an OUCH when someone touches it in synastry. Then,it comes alive and shows me my own dark side.
That is my dilemma--accepting my own dark side.It is really, really hard for me.I think it makes ME "bad"/dark.

I can't just see it as a slice of myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Love you guys

I know that one way is to recognise that those people 'outside' of yourself are mirroring to you this within yourself. And when we reject or judge or run from those people we are actually rejecting etc. that part of ourself. It's not always understood this way as it's easy to think It's the other who is this way and not also within ourselves. So by accepting the other we are also accepting ourselves.

You may need to draw back to see it though. I think that when you look within yourself when you are reflecting on what darkness you encounter in other or what darkness is drawn out into your awareness of being with that other - then you can find the space where it is buried within you. When you find it you can then look into it and see it for what it really is...e.g - self hatred or abandonment or whatever it is you discover. Then you can transform it by loving it by seeing it for what it is - this integrates the expression I think and also transforms the experience. So not only is it not viewed as darkness anymore, but it is also expressed at a higher vibration too because it is being loved from this point.

I hope that helps, I am not sure how Nessus plays out for me as I haven't explored this yet.

I think Nessus is what is called in some Christian books "The predator spirit"
I think it is the abusive part of us.I assume we all have one unless I am unique

Is it the Nessus person that feels the pain in synastry? I thought it was the other way around?

I have this connection with someone who means a lot to me. My Sun conjuncts his Nessus (0.04 degree orb).

In my natal chart, there are no significant Nessus aspects, but he has Nessus square Saturn (0.42) and opposite Juno (2.31).

I always thought it would be him who would really hurt me.

I am not sure if you can say who feels it more with the Nessus/planet person. I think the Nessus person feels a "drive" to abuse the planet person. I know this sounds horrible to say, but I think it is true. What do you think?

^ That's an eerie (And interesting!) thought. I don't pay too much attn to it, but it is making aspects in mine,
--conj NN (4)
--sq Saturn (4)
--sq Pluto (1)
--sq IC (0)
--opp Venus (0)
--opp Moon (2)
--tr Neptune (1)

Ami, what orbs are we using here?

Hi Lonake

IQ is very strict with orbs for asteroids. I go up to 2-3 for the conjunction. For other aspects, I would go up to 2. HOWEVER, in relationships that are "meant to be", I find that the asteroids are often exact.
