Double whammies would mean there is a mutuality of feeling, i.e. both people experience the aspect in a similar manner. The only differences would be due to house or sign placement.Sunshine IP: Logged |

Double Whammies felts sometimes karmic and gives increased strenght into the couple in synastry.MF. All what you describe are DWs. Aspects between the same planets are also DW and make the synastry stronger. IP: Logged |

Double whammies generally refer to 'contact' not 'aspect', so venus trine mars plus venus opposite mars would be a venus/mars contact squared (ie. a double whammy = made super powerful). quote:

Saturn square & opposite NN
Mars opposite & conjunct Chiron
Mars trine & Sextile Ceres
These are double whammies. quote:
Sun sextile Sun
Jupiter semi-sextile Jupiter
Eros sextile Eros
Karma trine Karma
Pholus trine Pholus
Hera square Hera
Sappho conjunct Sappho
Link conjunct Link
House sextile House
Harmiona conjunct Harmonia

For it to be classed as one, the aspect has to be the same both ways. Or it's not a double...just a single. The double whammy is not a complete rarity but it does highlight something that isn't seen as often as one way aspects. It is a term that denotes additional power. Literal examples such ashis sun square your pluto and your sun square his pluto would have the same meaning as it would if it was just one way. but the effect would be magnified considerably and may even overshadow a tighter orb single aspect. IP: Logged |
