Topic: Aspects and Synastry involving Sappho, Aphrodite, Amor, Adonis and Pan

Hello all! I recently drew up charts for me and my significant other including a number of asteroids. I have had a hard time finding resources for interpretations of aspects involving asteroids that are not Juno, Vesta, Chiron, Pallas or Ceres. Specifically I'm looking for resources that touch on Sappho, Aphrodite, Amor, Adonis, Pan and Psyche in the natal chart or in synastry aspects. Any help in my search would be much appreciated =)
There were some aspects in my own chart I was particularly curious about:
Pluto (R) conjunct Sappho (R) in Scorpio. Both trine Venus in Pisces.
Amor conjunct Sun in Pisces. Both also conjunct Venus.
When I examined the interaspects of our charts, these aspects caught my attention:
My Sappho conjuncts his Psyche in Scorpio
My Aphrodite is exactly conjunct his Part of Fortune in Gemini. Both trine my Pan in Aquarius.
His Aphrodite is conjunct my Aphrodite and Eros in Gemini.
I would be curious to know any tidbits anybody can throw out about these aspects. Thank you all in advance, and may you all be blessed and well.

I realize I listed quite a number of aspects, but if I had to pick just one to get Ami to shed some light on it would be my Aphrodite conjunct my SO's PoF in Gemini. This one is the most exact aspect and so has the most influence I would think.IP: Logged |

Pisces89  I must admit I generally do not use aspects between asteroids or asteroids/minor planets in synastry (with some exceptions) as I believe their influence is limited. Look for aspects between asteroids and angles and/or major planets. Having said that, there are some 'astrological pairs' as I call them which are significant if aspecting each other in two charts. For example, his Aphrodite and your Eros feels to me like a gentle, romantic, soothing influence (like a minor Eros-Psyche that is the original pairing). I wouldnt say these influences are sexually-charged or passion-riddled but they are great for strengthening the atraction (like a gentle trine or sextile). Now, Pan is different. In synastry he is primordial, libidinal, raw energy, a bacchic feast of senses. See if you got a Pan-Aphrodite aspect (his Pan preferably) mm I like those! Adonis and Aphrodite (or Venus - the Roman name for Aphrodite, can both be used interchangeably) should be akin to Venus-Mars, only again a tad gentler, less fiercely so, more idealized, romantic coupling. And do I daresay I adore Sappho? If you have it in synastry, its the blessing of the Muse, Beauty in all its forms...very inspiring. As for the natal, sun and Amor - in pisces nonetheless as I understand. Are you considered a sweetheart? Do people tend to fluctuate toward you, doe-eyed, mesmerized by a comforting warmth and sweetness, even if they do not consciously desire you romantically? If not, I d guess your chart is otherwise seriously afflicted! :P Sappho and Venus!! Do you write/paint/have artistic hobbies? Tell me their house placement and I ll tell you if you have a career awaiting for you! (if in 10th for example!) IP: Logged |

Thank you for the insight! I did look for Aphrodite aspects and his 11th House Aphrodite trines my 4th House Pan and my Ascendant. It also conjuncts my 9th House Eros and 8th House Aphrodite Meanwhile, his 10th house Pan conjuncts my midheaven and trines my 2nd House Sappho and Pluto, 6th House Amor and Sun, & my 5th House Pallas and Venus. You're right that people do consider me a sweetheart. Sometimes it takes a while for them to feel me out enough to know that it's not just a pleasant facade, however. I used to be an avid writer, although the habit is hard to keep up when my career's taken a different direction. I included House placements for Sappho and Venus above, so I'd be interested to hear what that indicates to you thanks again Anemone! IP: Logged | |
