Pygmalion 96189 Galatea 74Pygmalion (96189) was discovered by Henri Debehogne at the La Silla Observatory in Chile on July 6, 1991. It has an orbital period of 2.46 yrs. It was named after a sculptor that carved the most beautiful statue of a woman out of ivory. He was uninterested in real women and turned his back on married life yet his creation was so lifelike that he fell in love with it. Venus took pity on him and brought the statue to life. Wow, I have Galatea right in the middle of my Moon-Pluto conjunction in Libra (which is only about 2 degrees in orb), eighth house. It also conjuncts Spica and sextiles my Neptune.Pygmalion is in Scorpio, ninth house and squares my Mercury, sextiles my Vertex and squares my ascendant; all of those aspects are at about a one degree orb. There's other aspects it makes, but the orbs on those are huge so I threw them out. IP: Logged |

Sorry but LMAO at Beligerent Pygmy, you were one of my pointers for looking at Pygmalion in the first place. The other one was pygmy goats on frontierville. I take signs from life and look for the meaning....I found a huge chunk following that particular thread. Having Galatea in that combo could be pretty potent. I imagine that people find it easy to imagine how they would like you to be or maybe see you as an ideal. IP: Logged |

LOOOOL!So my nick is good for something after all.
You're spot on about the Galatea thing. You have no idea. That's exactly how it plays out, only in a negative way. I get projected upon a lot, by men specifically. All their ideals and hopes they pin on me and expect me to be exactly like whatever fantasy they have in their head. Then when they find out I'm not like that, that I'm different and very human, they're angry at me as though I led them to think that when it was all them. IP: Logged |
