Ok, I seem to have a cluster of asteroids on a stellium in Libra. Yep, that Venus-Pluto-Mars one. Thought a couple were interesting, but as I plugged more asteroids in, I started seeing a very interesting pattern...

The first two are questionable for inclusion in the stellium due to the orb between the pair and the rest of the stellium (2.75 degrees), as well as the last asteroid I mention. However, there does seem to be a partial relation, so I mention them... as below, along with an explanation.

(Note that Mars and Pluto are considered conjunct fixed star Algorab, which is very noteworthy considering the asteroids immediately around Mars/Pluto... and Algorab's descriptions: "Of the nature of Mars and Saturn. It gives destructiveness, malevolence, fiendishness, repulsiveness and lying, and is connected with scavenging.", "A Mars-Saturn star that can show up the more troublesome side of Libra, a variation on the truth when an excuse looks to be safer.", and "Delays and restraint are indicated to come about by fiascoes, losses, wrong handling of matters and enmity in general. Accidents or injuries difficult to avoid.")

Nephthys: 7 Lib 24'26"
Prometheus: 8 Lib 9'56"
Hopi: 10 Lib 52'27"
Petrginz: 10 Lib 57'31"
Vesuvius: 11 Lib 25'8"
Janzajic: 11 Lib 35'53"
* Mars: 12 Lib 12'41"
Annefrank: 12 Lib 24'10"
Palach: 14 Lib 29'20"
* Pluto: 14 Lib 52'18"
Ishtar: 18 Lib 45'30"
* Venus: 16 Lib 14'1"
Odin: 19 Lib 1'28"

Brief explanations:
- Nephthys: Egyptian goddess, associated with Funerary roles. In some traditions, the mother of Anubis.
- Prometheus: Gave mankind fire, to the chagrin of the other gods. Punished with a daily eating of his liver by a bird of prey.
- Hopi: Native American tribe, related to the Pueblo Indians. Famous for their pottery and spiritual beliefs (including the Kachinas). Resisted Spaniard conquest and conversion to Christianity, and suffered greatly when Smallpox came to them via European settlers, not having the immunity tolerance the Europeans would have had.
- Petrginz: Named for Petr Ginz, Young Jewish boy who was detained and ultimately killed in the gas chamber at Auschwitz/Birkenau, but not before writing entries in a diary that would become known after the war. Also was said that he learned prolifically, and would even read confiscated books at the concentration camp.
- Vesuvius: Infamous volcano that destroyed Pompeii.
- Janzajic: Named for Jan Zajic, Czech student who immolated himself in the late 1960's in protest of the Soviet occupation.
- Annefrank: Named for Anne Frank, famous for her diary during her family's attempt to hide from the Nazi's during World War II. Died in Bergen-Belsen from illness.
- Palach: Named for Jan Palach, another Czech student who likewise immolated himself in protest of the Soviet Occupation. (Palach and Zajic immolated themselves one year apart, in approximately the same location).
- Ishtar: Assyrian and Babylonian goddess of fertility, love, war, and sex. Counterpart to Inanna and Astarte. Said to be the "divine personification of the planet Venus." (Particularly noteworthy in my chart as it's conjunct Venus by .5 degree). Also was featured in the Epic of Gilgamesh (the hero turned down her advances, citing the fates of her previous lovers), and was also said to have descended to the Underworld at one point.
- Odin: Norse god, the "Allfather", associated with war, battle, victory and death, wisdom, magic, poetry, prophecy, and the hunt. Sacrificed his eye and hung from Yggdrasil for nine days and nights, and pierced by his spear, in order to learn the wisdom that would give him power in the nine worlds. In the process, he learned nine magical songs and the eighteen runes. Will be slain by Fenrir at Ragnarok. Also associated with the eight-legged horse Sleipnir, and the lance Gungnir.

I'm not sure what all to make of this. The close conjunctions of the asteroids named for Frank/Ginz and the two Jans who lit themselves ablaze with my already-volcanic planetary stellium (as well as with Vesuvius and to a farther degree Prometheus...) This is just filled with fire... in an Air sign no less.

What kind of asteroids do you have with your stelliums, and are there any close relations or similarities with the asteroids involved?

This was discussed a few pages back: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/000349.html

I'll just copy and paste my reply here though...

Around my Venus (0Leo20 conjunct my 1Leo13 DC):

Adonis – 2101 – 29Can46 – “Spell bound love, sexual magnetism, the desire to arouse, please and fulfill the beloved. Potent tie. An attractive male. The ideal male.” - -From http://tribes.tribe.net/asteroid_astrology/thread/9a0e123a-99e9-45fa-be79-2266e0dadc05 & “...in a woman’s chart, it can reveal a lot about the kind of man she finds attractive or thinks would be an ideal lover for her.” From http://rachellondon.wordpress.com/2011/08/30/where-is-your-adonis/

Manto – 870 – 0Leo37 – “How and where one best intuits the future” (From the Astrology Encyclopedia)

Around the DC:

Hestia – 46 – 2Leo46 – Same as Vesta, only Greek. This site has Hestia by sign and house: http://tribes.tribe.net/asteroid_astrology/thread/9a0e123a-99e9-45fa-be79-2266e0dadc05

quote:
Hestia in Leo: the Queen/Priestess/willing to give all for love and heart connection. This Hestia carries creativity, passion, power and a strong willfulness within its sacred energy. Hestia in Leo is proud and gives from the heart and soul and can sometimes be caught in the lessons of pride, and must learn what she can do and what has to be handed over to a higher power than herself.
Hestia in Leo: focuses on creativity and self-expression. Good for focusing on the dramatic or creative side of any situation.

quote:
Hestia in the 7th House: When you are married or living with someone (someone you are involved with, and not just a roommate) you have to have your own space. You cannot be around them 24 hours a day. Get away, even if it is just for an hour or so at a time. If not, you will tend to get drained and sick. Be sure to discuss this with them before you move in together, otherwise they might think it is strange when you want to take separate vacations.

Around the Sun – 7Leo20

Pax – 679 – 5Leo24 – “Where one seeks peace and outward tranquility (as opposed to inward)” From the Astrology Encyclopedia & “Pax, the asteroid when conjunct sun or ascendant, means a seeker of peace. Where in your chart is where you create peace for yourself and tranquility.” From Astrologer’s Community…

Klio – 84 – 7Leo33 (closest to Sun) – Muse of history

Arcadia – 1020 – 7Leo40 – “having to do with the country or rural life, a tendency toward conservativism” - from http://www.markandrewholmes.com/arcadia.html - there are a ton of asteroid interpretations there) & “Arcadia refers to a Utopian vision of pastoralism and harmony with nature. The term is derived from the Greek province of the same name.” - from http://tribes.tribe.net/asteroid_astrology/thread/d1b109a5-f1ac-41e1-b077-c5781772eba9

Destinn – 6583 – 8Leo41 – some people on the board have considered this one to mean “destiny”

Around Jupiter – 17Leo08

Aphrodite – 1388 – 15Leo29 – Impulsive love and attraction, charisma (compilation of board definitions) & “like a pure drop of “aphrodisiac” from the hem of Venus’s robe.” From Kim Falconer

Concordia – 58 – 18Leo12 – “Well-being through harmony; Peacefulness, or the seeking of peace” (From the Astrology Encyclopedia)

I'm starting to think it's common to have a bunch of asteroids concentrated in the same area as your stellia; my chart is the same way. Which isn't to say there aren't any in the rest of the chart, but there's way more of them in the signs and houses where I have a lot of planetary activity.
