Can Ceres be used to time conception or birth? Let's say transiting Ceres and Moon exactly conjunct the 5HC and each other and transiting Jupiter, also in the 5H. Would this mean that one can expect to become a parent sometime soon? IP: Logged |

Thanks Popcorn. I wonder about Ceres's connection to fertility and parenthood because it's the asteroid of caring for others- shows how we take care of those we love and/or are responsible for. So, wouldn't it be linked to the timing of when we become parents? I forgot all about DNA. Do Ixion, Siva and the Star of David have anything to do with pregnancy or is it just something you noticed when looking at your chart? Forgive me for such a question, but I'm confused. IP: Logged |

Ixion means sometimes a new start, new posibilities. People get one more possible start to something important in their life. I think also a conception need triggers and I think what would be better than trigg aspects in a pattern of star of David.IP: Logged |

I never knew what Ixion meant in charts. Mine is conjunct Pholus in my transit and Solar Return charts and will be for a long time (not sure if this is normal for everyone or not). Could you look at your chart again to see if Child, Pholus and your 5HR played a role when your children were born? IP: Logged |

It's only useful to use the asteroids that are strong in your natal chart as timing indicators. If child and ceres are strong natally then use them...but if not I'd leave them out. To be honest, it's the main planets you need to be looking at, you can use all sorts of indicators...like jupiter transiting 4th for increasing the size of your family or the 5th (obviously) for increasing "children". Pluto transiting the 5th can increase fertility, uranus through the 5th can give unexpected pregnancy. I think it works better with hindsight - once you're pregnant, the transits will show you the conditions around the pregnancy... If you've been trying a while - try feng shui - as in doing it in the area of your home that represents children and yes I'm being serious. You can google for a bagua grid and some basic info on how to locate the area in your home. Check your diet and even think about regular massage...especially reflexology.... but any type will help to keep your circuits free. cusp of the 5th (it's planetary ruler) and planets in the 5th should help to kind of narrow things down a bit astrologically. If you look for transits to those things it'll help. Asteroids are great but unreliable and generally not strong enough unless aspected well in the natal. Good luck IP: Logged |

Dysfunctional, I'm not trying to do anything but learn more about predictive astrology concerning pregnancy. My shop is closed until I can handle the financial responsibility. I can't rule out using asteroids in astrology all together because they have a significant role, in my opinion.IP: Logged |

Who said anything about ruling them out all together?

I found out recently that my mother's Ceres is exactly conjunct with my sun. Plus her asteroid DNA is exactly conjunct with my son in 28 degrees Gemini. I was so amazed by that. Also we have the four axes all conjunct in synastry: AC conjunct AC, DC & DC conjunct, IC/IC and MC/MC. IP: Logged |

Not sure if this answers the question at all, but for what it's worth...My youngest son's sun is conjunct my Ceres and my daughter's sun opposes my Ceres. IP: Logged |
