I was just reading on another forum, about Ceres now being in Aries. It's sextile my Moon/Venus, and I've been reading about food for the past two nights.

I hardly used to eat anything when I was younger, and I have stomach issues now (I actually had them in my early twenties, too), but I've always loved good food, and I love it when people sit around a large table, eat without rushing, and just enjoy each other's company. It seems like we all eat too fast, and it's a rush to get back to the couch, or something.

Anyway, I have Ceres/Chiron/Sun in the 6th, in Aries, and most of my food-learning and experimenting in, has been related to health, as an adult, for me, my family and my pets.

How about yourself? What is your relationship to food, or other forms of comfort? I'm a real comfort queen.

Ceres conjuncts Jupiter in Pisces in 3rd house in my chart, and squares Neptune, ASC, NN.

I do not know any limits, I guess. I`ve been overeating all my life, though I`ve improved during the last couple of years (but have to keep a stricter eye on myself again in this regard; old habits, you know? *sighs*).

Eating has always been connected with (emotional) conversations or intellectual input as well.
It was during dinner that the family gathered together and was discussing global and social problems. WE are a real "talking-family". lol

On my own I`ve always loved eating while reading or while watching a film. I know that this is not good, but I´ve loved it nevertheless.

TR Ceres is going to be conjunct my IC on 4.58 Aries, trine my Mars on 5.10 Sag and ASC on 7.10 and square my Venus on 6.08 Cap in a while.

I wonder what the Tr Ceres/Uranus conjunction means on a mundane level.

Hmmm My mother has Ceres conj Saturn. What Saturn touches, it cools. She could not nurture.

I have Ceres in Cancer 3 deg house 1
Conjuncts Jupiter Cancer 4 deg house 2
and trines asteroid Hebe in Scorp 4 deg house 6

When I was little I thought eating was boring. I wanted to be playing or watching tv. Or eating dessert. I went through a phase where I only liked eating dessert.
I would say things like "I'm full! Can I have dessert now?" I remember folding my legs in my shirt or dress and going "look at me!, I'm so full, I can't eat anymore!"
I even remember my mom giving me a dime, for eating dinner one time.

I was pretty skinny. Until I hit 18 stopped growing and quit dancing. And since then I've been "thick"

By age 14 I would eat when stressed. By age 18 I replaced that habit with smoking.

But now of days, I love food! I need it! And it makes me happy. I try to eat something high in protein every three hours or smoke. Other wise I have a harder time functioning. I might be hypoglycemic. Not exactly sure though. I've got to have my fuel!

So I try to pick high protein meals and snacks.
But now I am doing this new thing where I try to eat as much gluten free meals and snacks as possible.
Gluten gives me an inflamed stomach.
There was a point in my life when I lived away and would eat microwave pizzas for breakfast luch and dinner. Plus I smoked a lot of pot back then...So I could eat the whole thing.
It didn't matter how much I was on my feet. When it was time of the month...adding that extra water weight. People at my work would ask me if I was preggers. "No it's just my time of the month and I'm bloated." (HEY THEY ASKED!)
But yeah that was my body at it's worst. When I ended that relationship and moved back home. I lost 10 ponds from not eating mini micro pizza's for every meal. (which means eating that way I gained 10 pounds)

So I really try to at least have one gluten free meal a day...so I never get to that point again.

now that I think about it the little girl I baby sit also has Ceres in Cancer and she doesn't seem to like eating that much.

I'm not very domestic. It wasn't til a few years ago I started making meals that you don't put in the micro.
And all I really make is macaroni and stir fries.

I made gluten free brownies a few days ago. But my dad had to help me a little cause I was like "dad, how do you melt butter? I've never had to do that before for a recipe!" lol
I don't mind the taste of them. But my dad was like "they would taste better if they had gluten in them" and then later he says "I'm having gluten withdraws" and grabs a beer.

ceres in taurus conj mercury in 4th square chiron on first...

Ceres in aspect to Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer, is often found in the charts of health practitioners and alternative healers. The caring, sensitive aura of the Ceres individual combined with the awareness of other realities and dimensions as denoted by Chiron may inspire vocational or professional outlets. These include being an astrologer, massage therapist, chiropractor, herbologist, acupuncturist, or naturopath. Many nurses and doctors also have this combination.

Taurus is hugely romantic and affectionate and needs to feel secure. Once they have this everything else is a bonus...

your ceres in cappi
Ceres in Capricorn nurtures others by showing them how to succeed in life. With this placement one feels nurtured by a sense of achievement. This is the wise mother placement, one who teaches others how to take responsibility for their own lives. Under stress it can lead to excessive dependence on position or status as a substitute for creating loving or caring relationships.

When Ceres aspects Neptune the individual might feel driven to take care of the less fortunate in society. Spiritual needs may nurture the self, as well as inspire one to spiritually feed others as one develops a sense of compassion
