What I mean is that like you I thought that sun conjunct courage would make someone courageous but was wondering if there was more to this arabic part as just bc is named courage doesn't mean that there isn't more to it.

I know little about arabic parts and would like to learn more that is all .

I didn`t ridicule you.
I really have no idea if there is more to the part of courage; maybe if you take into account which planets are used for the calculation of this particular part, it might shed more light on a deeper meaning.
I`ve not been using arabic parts, so I can`t be of any good help, I fear.

I do not recall how the Arabic Part of Courage is constructed but when I researched these parts some years back, I found that [As Tobey hypothesized] the ones involving Planets shifted by difference of Ascendant and Sun alone worked remarkably. For they mapped to the Shadow Chart or Subconscious Secondary Chart. [ Please note, Draconic Chart is not the Subconscious Secondary Chart. This chart pertains only to the present incarnation and for influencing subconscious decisions. ]
