I am Chinese, so when born, I was only given a Chinese name. Then when I went to school, my school required me to adopt an English name for "ease of use". So my mom and I flipped through the Webster and the first name that caught both of our fancy was Anastasia. It's beautiful and it's definitely NOT easy to use for most Chinese. So for both its own beauty and to prove a point to my school, my English middle name became Anastasia. Pretty much a coincidence.Then I found there's an asteroid Anastasia and I added it to my natal chart. Guess what! It is conjunct my Sun and Venus (orb 2') and exact conjunct my SN! So, apparently I have some unfinished karma with the name and thus it has become my middle name. Please share with me what you know about this Anastasia asteroid or share any story you might have on namesake asteroids IP: Logged |

I have the weirdest story of all my time in Astrology. I joined an on line community with a particular name. This name came to me and I WAS just this name. Well, I went through a lot there, a lot of healing and a lot of angst etc. It was a very moving experience for me, one of the most moving of my life.Well, I was doing someone's chart and just looked up the name I choose for this group. It was not a common name. It was a bit off beat.The name was an EXACT conjunction to my Mercury. I have never had a weirder experience in Astrology, to date lol ------------------

Anastasia is a beautiful name, and I think it's cool that you were drawn to it before you found out about your karmic connection. I love learning about asteroids.I just checked mine (Jacqueline) and found that it's in my first house.

Usually asteroids are named for their discoverers or by their discoverers. Anastasia was named by its discoverer for his friend. So just a manner of luck/karma whether your name has an asteroid. And I think for many Western families who like to name sons/daughters after father/mother/grandparents etc would probably have less of this karmic tie/coincidenceIP: Logged |

Hmmmmm, there is no Jolique asteroid. The closest I can find is Jole... Anyway,
Sun in Leo 6'8 square Jole Scorpio 5'37 in 2nd house
Wisdom in Virgo 4'53 sextile Jole
Juno in Virgo 4'14 sextile Jole
Sedna in Taurus 6'41 opposite Jole

i was seeing a girl named ashley a few years back and i was doing our synastry and i was plugging in asteroids and i found an ashley asteroid and i put it in and her ashley was conjunct my venus exactly...weirdIP: Logged |
