Yes, I believe the latter to be true. Each person seems to have a few pivotal asteroids. The others do not seem to be life themes ime

The more I do charts and the more I study asteroids( many of which are based on myths), the more I see that many people have lives which are just like the myths of old. If an asteroid is conjunct one of your personal planets, you may be compelled to live out the myth. The myths deal with the deepest and darkest human passions, as well as the most exalted. They deal with the depths of betrayal and the heights of love including dying for one’s beloved. I suppose these passions and drives make us human. Find out which asteroids conjunct your personal planets . See if you get insights in to your life. Write your insights on my comment section. I would love to hear. The personal planets are the Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars.

What constitutes a Greek myth? Passion, in a word. In present time, we are taught that life should be easy and good. If it is not, then it is our fault, somehow. Hollywood has put forth the possibility that some people can, actually, live the dream of perfection. One may look at the Greek Myths as belonging to times past, not current. However, the asteroids belie this. many of the asteroids are taken from actual myths. To the person whose chart has the asteroid, dominantly, the myth is a current reality. The myths evoke a poignancy in us. It is so because they touch our humanity, which is the same as that of people thousands of years past. Studying the asteroids can bring a concomitant strength, as one knows that one is not singled out for pain, but is part of the tradition of humanity, to whom the myths spoke and still speak
