First House: If Persephone shows up in the first house of your chart, you may feel as if your basic personality, which is ruled by the First House, was never allowed free expression. Perhaps your parents were so dominating that they overpowered your sense of self and you never found out who you really are. When you aren’t allowed to feel your own feelings or think for yourself, you end up as a false imitation of someone else. A tremendous sense of emptiness and lack of self esteem follows that experience. Unless you can explore different avenues of expression and embark on your own life experiences, you may remain hidden and in the dark about that most important person, namely yourself.
Second House: In the second house, Persephone may show you feel unable to deal with your own possessions and are used to having someone else do your finances for you. It may mean you are not comfortable taking charge of your own income, or feel you don’t have the "smarts" to do so yourself. Everyone can take money management courses, and read books on the subject, and you may just need more confidence in your own abilities.
Third House: We may be too timid to speak up for ourselves, and consequently let others do our talking for us.
Fourth House: We may be afraid to step out from the shadow of our childhood and want to be taken care of throughout our lives as if we were still children.
Fifth House: We may let our lovers take charge of our lives and we may submerge our needs and desires to theirs.
Sixth House: We may not stand up for ourselves in the workplace.
Seventh House: We may be dominated by our marriage or business partners.
Eighth House: We may feel guilty or ashamed to explore our sexuality to wherever it leads us.
Ninth House: We may be afraid to practice any other religious belief besides the one we were raised in as children.
Tenth House: We may be unable to go after the career we really want because our family doesn’t approve.
Eleventh House: We may let our family of origin or our partners determine who our friends are.
Twelfth House: We may make ourselves prisoners of our own unconscious thoughts and fears.here is Persephone in your chart?

Resurrecting an old old post because of something really weird that happened to me at the weekend.

I had a couple of hours free and had gone to an out of town shopping centre an hour away to buy a specific kind of jacket and also look for some ankle boots.

Got the jacket in record time (result!) and had some time left to mooch around for a really specific kind of brown ankle boot which I've been looking for for weeks.

I popped into a new store which I could see from outside had a couple in a similar style. As I got closer to the display my date of birth caught my eye.

I double-took and then spotted the number on a shoebox - it's a product number, and differs from my DOB by a single interchanged digit. This was too weird. I looked again and spotted it was almost the exact kind of boot that I've been looking for - seriously so similar that I nearly bought a pair but didn't due to a minor detail.

And the name of the shoe style is Persephone.

To me, this was too weird a coincidence - I'm in some plutonic goings on at the moment. So today I looked it up and found that I have Persephone in the sixth house, conjunct my natal moon (2deg).

This ^^ above is almost exactly bang on my current situation where I'm being for want of a better word victimised by my boss. My best friend - the plutonic one - tells me I need to stand up for myself. I think I am, but clearly it's not working, so I need to figure this out.

At the same time, I believe I am experiencing a kind of awakening at the moment. I know that sounds woo, but it's the only way I can explain it - it's like seeing the matrix. I can see why people do things even if it's hurtful or horrible, I understand more why it has happened.

I include the 4th house mention in light of my buddy, the triple scorp - he's in a difficult period at the moment, and our relationship is in a really difficult place for a number of reasons.

I've come to realise that some of his current issues are stemming from issues in his childhood that he desperately needs to clear before he can move on and be his own man. But I'm unable to tell him this. Fascinating that it's today I realise he has Persephone in the 4th.

There are things happening in my life - around work, and my buddy - that have been hugely hurtful, but I'm learning to let go of the ego elements - I can see which bits are my ego protesting and which bits actually matter. I'm learning to let go. Maybe this is the start of my own Persephone transformation? I found this on Jewel Mayberry's site:

I can relate to the self expression themes with my mother. I didn't start putting more energy into my own self expression until I was 17, and started dabbling in my own self expression more. Once I could drive started dabbling in more styles from all kinds of stores. I'm still kind of this way.

Also I started dabbling in more make up looks after getting out of a relationship with a controlling partner who was threatened by me putting effort into my appearance.

Eventually I got more into trying different hair styles.

My mom is really big into toxic positivity too. Like only being allowed to talk about good feelings. Feeling like a freak if I ever had bad feelings and not really having them validated.

When I was a young adult living there my mom would take my shirts I bought with skulls, marijuana leaves, offensive sayings on them, and scary clowns turn them inside out and roll them up and put them in a box so I could not wear them.

I'm in my 30's now and the fun never ends. She expressed concerned to my sister that she thinks I am a witch.

I can be one of those people who are not what they seem. Like the square who hangs out with the goths and the punks. Someone recently said "I always wondered why you hung out with us weird kids" "She is more bad ass than she knows"
I also have asteroid Wild conjunct my IC

I did not need glasses until I was 16. But I did not try contacts until I was 27. I really only put the contacts in for hot dates, parties, and weddings, going out to be seen! I also would go though phases where I would wear them at work.

There is *some* element of truth to this in regards to my much younger years. My mother was VERY attached to me, as she had previously been told that she could never have children. So I was her miracle baby. 💜 Several relatives have shared with me that my mom wouldn't let ANYONE else hold me (besides my dad & my granny) until I was about 2 or 3 years old! So I'm not kidding about the deep attachment.

My mom was fragile in certain ways. I picked up on that at a young age and was very protective of her as a result. And lost some of my innocence in the process. She did apologize to me though (a few years before she passed) for contributing to me having to grow up a bit too early. 🌷 And I gladly forgave her. Why? Because although she did make some mistakes, I *knew* how much she loved me. Having Capricorn IC - I'm willing to make sacrifices for my family and the people I deeply care about.

In addition to Persephone being on my ASC. Pluto & Proserpina also reside in my 1H and are in a conjunctive Tango together. 👠

And as some of you may already know - Persephone is in a Grand Trine with Demeter 4H & Hades 8H in my chart. 🔥 How wild is that?! So this energy is highly prominent in my chart.

As a youngster, I had some moments of great naivety. Confusion about who I should be. I even felt trapped at certain points! But I always possessed strong willpower and the ability to sense fakeness & BS in others. 💯 There were Grown Women (who I barely knew) that would cry because they wanted to physically FIGHT me as a child. No lie. And Grown Men who wanted to sexually objectify me but thankfully didn't get too far - it was SICK. They all *knew* I could see straight through them and pick up on their insanely twisted energy.

I'd feel powerful one day (Pluto). And then voiceless (Persephone) the next. 🤷🏾‍♀️ This went on up until about age 16.

In many ways, my adolescence was awesome. I had some good times. 👍 But I also endured a lot of pain & trials as well. I certainly had to walk through the FIRE. 🔥 And feel the burn.

But I eventually *rose* from those ASHES.
And I truly GREW.
And I confidently SOARED.

I found (and kept) MY VOICE. 🙌
Set proper boundaries.
And have empowered others to do the same.

This was the first CD that I ever bought at 11 years-old. 🩷 The entire album is stellar in my eyes! But this song in particular, deeply resonated with me and truly described how I felt on so many levels at that time.

I've experienced similar synastry with a handful of people. I'll share just one example for now. This particular man and I had an EQUALLY strong pull on each other. 🩷 It went DEEP.

🌷 My PERSEPHONE was conjunct his Moon & trine his Venus.

🌷 His PERSEPHONE was trine my Sun & NN.

🔥 My HADES was trine his Moon & Venus. And conjunct his NN in 7th.
