Asteroid Finder:
If you don't have, this seems to be a great place to find all your asteroids at once: http://serennu.com/
But, you need to input your universal birth time, which you can get from astro.com

great idea appleberry! mine is orcus. it conjuncts my moon in leo h10 exact and is 4 degrees away from mc. i found this from muammar gaddafi's astro interp, who has sun conj orcus.

also read this on astrology weekly..

quote:
Orcus was like Pluto, but more outward focused, whereas Pluto was more inward/transformation.

Pluto is conj my asc exact as well.

Orcus

"The Erinyes assisted at the bearing of Horkos (Oath), whom Eris (Strife) bore, to be a plague on those who take false oath." - Hesiod, Works and Days

Although the asteroid Orcus was only discovered less than a decade ago in 2004, the god of false oaths reminds us with renewed corpse rot, that "the ancient family of mythological darkness that decays together, stays together!"

Orcus, whose name in Greek is Horkos, was born directly into the Family of Darkness from Greek myth. When your Mommy and Aunties are ladies of such murderous distinction, both of which I have extensively written about as of late, Eris and her Blister Sisters, The Erinyes, how can you be anything else but a havoc wreaking, massively oversized Hell'yun, ready to bust human heads at even the hint of bearing a false oath?

Orcus was the one member of the Family O'Dark who nosily hung about on Earth the longest, what with Mumsy coming and going whenever she confusingly felt like it, and his Auntie Sisters Grimm requiring summoning to gain entrance onto the stage of Man.

Think of Orcus as the darkness based foil of the goddess Justicia.  Except instead of blindfoldedly observing with impartial fairness in the background, this hairy, extremely large and intimidating brute who was born in the bowels of Hell is on stand by with brass knuckles and the ancient Greek version of nunchuks, should any vain or foolish mortal dare to swear false oath.

Orcus In The Birth Chart

New information daily unfolds involving the astrological meanings of this asteroid, which has only been a part of man's awareness for a mere 7 years!

In Roman "we're so boring we copy every one else's" mythology, Orcus was an offshoot to Pluto, since his main job for those blood thirsty Roman copy cats was as an overseeing guard to one of Hell's Gates.  Despite my blatantly loud yawning, Orcus has an almost identical orbital path as Pluto's, therefore this asteroid is associated with all things Plutonian with one major difference - whereas Pluto's decimating powers are internalized from within, Orcus' are all entirely external events which befall those having key transits or birth chart markings with this underworld themed space rock.

Astrologer Mark Andrew Holmes has made these key observations regarding Orcus' influence in the birth chart:

"Astrologically, Orcus seems to indicate the following: popularity, private effort, the grass roots (according to Jonathan Dunn); bringing death (according to Chryss Alexander); also, audacity, boldness, "seizing the day," questioning or challenging, dissent, predatory, ravaging, corruption, a fallen state, heavy or strong retaliation, having something to say, giving up or giving in."

Take those Orcian?/Mork from Orcus traits and apply them to the overall personality or self and what's it spell? Muammar Gaddafi, born with his Sun conjunct Orcus by 1 degree.

Let's take those same Orc & Goblin traits and apply them to the lives of these other historic figures, who like Gaddafi, had their Sun conjunct Orcus:

Napoleon, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Princess Diana, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and last and certainly most least, Donald Trump

this one is abit closer by a few minutes but exact on my moon as well.

ATROPOS: Endings, completion, conditions at the finish, what is needed to conclude.

273 ATROPOS: Facing death whether it be of a relationship, business or personal endeavor, or an actual physical death. Changing inflexibility to flexibility. Letting go and accepting the destiny of the soul.

sounds like a fall from grace..

mc cancer 29'46
moon leo 2'29
atropos leo 2'44
orcus leo 3'25

wud u count atropos conj mc?

mc

PHASE 120 (CANCER 30°): A DAUGHTER OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION.

KEYNOTE: The prestige and conservatism of a long-maintained heritage.

Here we have a symbol of the proud preservation of socio- cultural values in a tradition. After several generations the ancestor who was perhaps a violent revolutionist or rabble-rouser - or even a fugitive from justice - acquires a halo of respectability. The tradition that once was born of revolution now extolls "law and order," attempting to suppress any new forms of the same revolutionary spirit.

This is the last symbol of the section of the cycle referring mainly to the consolidation and concretization of life urges within a stable form of organization. In many instances the scenes presented picture social activities or events, yet at this stage it is the individual person and the problems attendant upon his development that are primarily considered.

This eighth scene with a keynote of "Consolidation," began with the study of a traditional symbol for personality integration, the Mandala; it ends with an example of what occurs when the individual chooses a path which totally embodies and glorifies tradition, a path which ends in a GLORIFICATION OF THE PAST.

moon/ atropos

PHASE 123 (LEO 3°): A MIDDLE-AGED WOMAN, IN HER LONG HAIR FLOWING OVER HER SHOULDERS AND IN A BRA-LESS YOUTHFUL GARMENT.

KEYNOTE: The will to meet the challenge of age in terms of our modern society’s glorification of youth.

While the original reading of the symbol over fifty years ago spoke of the mature woman having dared to bob her hair, today a similar kind of rebellion against aging and the customs of late middle age would manifest itself in different ways. The meaning of the symbol can be extended to any desire an individual woman would have to claim her right to experiences of youth which may have been denied to her, especially when according to the fashion of the day such experiences are considered highly valuable.

This third stage symbol implies a reorientation of one’s ideal of action in relation to the collective mentality of the social environment; more particularly, a refusal by the individualized consciousness to be bound by biological or social standards. The Keyword: INDEPENDENCE

orcus

PHASE 124 (LEO 4°): A FORMALLY DRESSED ELDERLY MAN STANDS NEAR TROPHIES HE BROUGHT BACK FROM A HUNTING EXPEDITION.

KEYNOTE: The masculine will to conquer his animal nature and to impress his peers with his skill in performing the ancient traditional power rituals.

This symbol may be interpreted at the strictly social level – the hunter’s trophies, his pride in showing them to members of his high-class club, etc. But if one refers to the higher spiritual-mental implications of the sign Leo, one can see in this picture a reference to man’s capacity to overcome the animalistic tendencies of his bio-psychic nature according to certain traditional procedures. The implication of being ‘formally dressed’ is that an important if not the most important, goal the individual had in developing this capacity has been to ‘prove himself’ – to others, as well as perhaps to himself.

I would say Photographica has to do with photography, pictures, art, creative graphical works I'd think.

For awhile I thought 99942 Apophis (20 Vir 7'8" - Death, destruction, demolition) was the closest to my midheaven (19 Vir 41'10"). As it turns out, I've discovered three closer.

75 Eurydike at 19 Vir 33'6", but is not the closest.

258 Tyche is at 19 Vir 46'42", but is not the closest after I checked something today after reading about Hindu/Vedic asteroid themes...

2847 Parvati is at 19 Vir 43'5" in mine, putting it less than 2 minutes of a degree from my midheaven.

From http://tribes.tribe.net/asteroid_astrology/thread/b1f25b5c-9ab0-413a-be1e-2bdff008ae6a :

"Power, Energy, and Enlightenment. The female energy is typically referred to the kinetic energy and resides in the root chakra at the tip of the spinal chord.

Goddess of Love and Devotion
The Goddess Parvati is the 'lover of life' who brings her power and prowess into the world as she infuses it with her magic.
The Story of Parvati:
Even as a young girl Parvati was in love with Shiva. But Shiva, the God of War, was grieving the death of the woman he loved and had turned his back on the world and all its pleasures. He now lived in a dark cave and spent his days in meditation.
Determined to win his affection, Parvati would visit his cave each day to bring him fruit and to sweep the floor of the cave and decorate it with flowers. But Shiva spurned her efforts.
Parvati remained determined. She decided to go into the mountains and become an ascetic herself, thinking perhaps this would win his love.
Parvati wanted a child. But Shiva didn't want to be bothered with offspring so he spitefully gave her a scrap of cloth and told her to make a doll and cuddle it instead.
Hurt by his remark she withdrew to a cave to meditate and get control of her emotions. Grasping the cloth to her breast, Parvati’s tears dropped on it and the cloth grew into the form of Ganesha, her son. She assigned her newly created son to guard over her cave and to keep out all strangers.
In the meantime Shiva began to regret his impulsive act and came to find Parvati and apologize. Ganesha didn’t recognize him and blocked his way. Shiva flew into a rage and beheaded Ganesha.

Parvati represents the part of ourselves that creatively brings forth nourishment even in the midst of what seems to be rejection and disapproval. She is a wonderful affirmation that there are no limits to what a woman can do when she uses her spiritual energy in the pursuit of any goal she chooses.
When we embrace love, Parvati is there to bless us."

I'm not sure what to say about the Parvati/Midheaven conjunction in this case. Might be straightforward from the description if I were a woman, but as I'm a man, I'm not sure how this interacts offhand...

The asteroids I have conjunct my MC are (from 0-2 deg apart)
Child
Rosamunde
Nora
Arduina
Altona
Barbara
Amphitrite
Herba
Genua
ARMC
Urhixidur
Massalia
Concordia

I do not know what most of these mean except for child. Right now I work as a teacher aide for pre school. And I sub as the aide in other classes too. I'm also a latchkey aide. So I work with kids from ages 2 in a half to 14 cause I work at a grade school that includes a preschool. And lately I've been subbing for the lunch lady's too. lol

But yeah, I'm going to look into the meaning of these other asteroids.

Mine are Venus, Eris, Altjira, Aphrodite, BML, ARMC, Magdalena, Requiem, Chaos, and Photographica.

Interestingly, I am a photographer. I specialize in pro sports and fire photography. It's a tough gig for a woman, so I wonder if my BML mixed in there has something to do with it.

Mine is Persephone.

In astrology the asteroid Persephone is listed as being number 399 in the asteroid scale. Where she shows up in our natal chart can be a place we look at to see and discover for ourselves where we feel taken captive and where we feel we have not been allowed to be ourselves. Persephone’s placement in our houses can show us where we are afraid to take charge, and afraid to assert ourselves. It is where we give our power away to others, or it was taken from us by force. It is where we ask others we consider more powerful than we are to make our decisions for us and take care of us. In essence it is where we hoodwink ourselves and allow ourselves to be taken underground."

That doesn't sound very nice. I've not yet had much of a career--like, what I'm doing now is not what I want to do. But I'm sure I will make it eventually. I have Saturn conjunct MC, too, so I know it's not going to be easy, but Saturn will give me the grit to get there.

Though I have nothing conjunct MC under all the asteroids serennu covers, I have discovered I have Adonis conjunct MC. I have no info on Adonis really...

from Wiki...

Adonis (Phoenician "lord"), in Greek mythology, the god of beauty and desire, is a figure with Northwest Semitic antecedents, where he is a central figure in various mystery religions. His religion belonged to women: the dying of Adonis was fully developed in the circle of young girls around the poet Sappho from the island of Lesbos, about 600 BCE, as revealed in a fragment of Sappho's surviving poetry.

An extremely attractive, youthful male is often called an Adonis, often with a connotation of deserved vanity: "the office Adonis." The legendary attractiveness of the figure is referenced in Sarrasine by Honoré de Balzac, which describes an unrequited love of the main character, Sarrasine for the image in a painting of an Adonis and a castrato. The allusion to extreme physical attractiveness is apparent in the psychoanalytical Adonis Complex which refers to a body image obsession with improving one's physique and youthful appearance.

Hmmm...so I can see how this might fit in just a little. I always try to maintain a appleaing appearance in public, make sure my presentation is above average with my asthetics finely marked. And yes I can be a bit psycho when I am not satisfied with my body image.

This was great to look into...

People will worship you as in a sort of awe of your beauty but it is a beauty of outer AND inner beauty such that it includes beauty of soul! x

I have Moon conj the MC but just realized that I have Nemesis conj the Moon. This means that my mother was my enemy but I wonder if it would make me HAVE enemies? I would love to hear anyone's input. I DO have enemies. 90% of people seem to like me but there will be a strong 10% who cannot stand me. I think it is because of the moon conj MC as we discussed a little while back. Some people are very turned off by someone's emotions on one's sleeve. Moon conj MC embodies this. However, most people seem to really appreciate it. I have come to accept that this is who I was made to be but I wonder about the Nemesis there. Is that why I have enemies

Hi Ami! Maybe your mother is your anemy. You could also be your own anemy... just because how you take test

I think 90 percent are to much to be liked from people. If you feel 90 percent you must be one of the lucky people. I will think a normal person got almost 70 percent like from people (realistic perspective)

Ive MC conj eris conj chaos. My job including chaos and trauma and I love it. MC sextile moon and 8 asteroids. MC trine Sun conj AC. MC quinkuns pluto. MC sextile DC conj psyche conj angel.
