"In synastry...I think Adonis doesn't signify "ideal man," exactly...asteroid-wise, something like Valentine would signify that the person meets a romantic ideal.
I think Adonis signifies "really hot, physically beautiful man"...so big Adonis contacts in synastry would mean finding the person beautiful, physically. (I think this might play out even if the person was not conventionally good-looking--it would mean you would really like the way he looks, like looking at him, like the look of his body.) Not sure how this works across the genders though.
