His Tantalus conjuncted my True Lilith under 3d and opposed my Valentine by 1d exact so I guess he must have felt tantalized too since the attraction was there but I was married when we met and he knew it. So we had a Tantalus-Valentine double whammy! That explains A LOT actually. I have never wanted something so badly that it was clearly not going to manifest. HAHAHA In our composite we have an exact VALENTINE conjunct ATROPOS squaring under 1d TANTALIZE... I have been trying to figure out astrologically how could we have such great synastry and for it not to manifest for several months now. I kept thinking Valentine conjunct ATROPOS how could nothing happen, Atropos in my book is very powerful and refers to inevitability! so we were meant to come together and meet but when you add that this was squaring Tantalize the missing piece of the puzzle it all makes sense now! Meant to come together, desire each other romantically but NOT be able to act on it in this life, I guess it was inevitable to tease each other, ignite something in us but have to turn it right off and inevitably let it go. I did let go quickly of him and was surprised by that, it shows I have grown a lot bc the intensity between us and attraction was very similar to how I felt for my ex and for all I know could have surpassed it but I was able to assess situation and knew I had to let go and did sooner than later. Now that I know astrologically why it turned out that way I could put that curiosity of 'what happened there?' fully to rest. IP: Logged

I think the desperation to have what Tantalus touches is what results in not getting it. However, I don't think any single aspect is going to last forever.
