I have this placement & have some thoughts on it -->

First thing, is that I never used to pay attn to Chiron in charts, but it was the first thing outside of the luminaries/planets I was curious about, namely because it's automatically included in Astrodienst charts. After some personal Astro research in different categories I've found it to be a big player in transit, solar arc, etc. but was still feeling my way around it as regards to my natal since there's not a lot on the subject that sounds very well though out.

Lately, as of this wk lately, I have stumbled on some realizations about my Chiron house placement that I want to share to see if anyone feels the same. I feel this placement gives me a tremendous amount of *freedom* in terms of how I act in society (H10). There are a few reasons for this..and it took a while to acknowledge the freedom. Here are some things I've noticed along my journey to this conclusion, and one has followed the other so these are in sequential order:
---Very sensitive to societal pressures to conform, the unwritten rules that we all agree to abide by, as in appropriate reactions to a given event. Sensitive to the mob that develops based on these 'rules' and that one can be singled out & beaten down in an instant for not reacting in a way that society deems is appropriate.
---Experiencing negative feedback when not responding in a PC way, in the way that the unwritten rules said I should & then closing down & backing off from self expression to the world (H10).
---Recognizing somewhere along the way that I wasn't the only one who felt hindered in their expression, seeing other people in a group afraid to speak up and speak out against this type of groupthink, to challenge it.
---Upon recognizing these people (once I got out of my own head/my own hurt) my heart went out to them, and I felt that they had something to say that was against status quo but that they too felt fear of backlash. I also saw how detrimental it is to a free society to keep these rules which do not allow room for individual expression.
---Became aware that since I was already on the outside that I had nothing to lose, and that became the impetus to call out what others cannot call out, because for them that means losing face. I already lost mine, I'm already out of the norm, I already don't agree and I can't be coerced otherwise.
---So now I'm getting to the freedom of expression here that I feel is the great thing about my placement, to advocate for true individual expression in the face of possible backlash & dismantling these unchallenged practices, these societal rules that keep people caged.
---The freedom has caused me to break out with an acerbic sense of humor in these settings (usually mostly comprised of strangers, as in me out of my comfort zone, out in the world H10), something that will call out whatever I see as 'clouding the issue' in a joke. My jokes are not for my amusement. They serve a purpose & that is to release pressure, to get people to laugh at themselves, and to open the door so that others can come forward & share their opinions w/out fear of the mob, to feel open to not conform & to be free from the restrictions that come with keeping up a reputation. Something that I feel binds people up inside themselves.

So if you have this placement tell me if any of this rings true for you. More importantly, is there anything regarding the unwritten rules of society that you have encountered & contend with in some way, something that you feel strongly about? Mine is in Taurus, but I don't think that holds much bearing regarding my assessment so far, I'm more concerned with figuring out the house placement for the moment. And I know Taurus isn't known for being a sign with a sense of humor, but I do make people laugh & I do get what I want, namely to free people to express more without fear. My Chiron is inconjunct Mars/Saturn, opp Jupiter & trine Moon/Venus.

I will give my experience doing charts. This Chiron may be someone who feels he does not fit in society. It could be for a variety of reasons but the person seems to FEEL like a social outcast. They may not be, in reality, but they feel like one. The reasons can be varied. One man never felt successful. One woman felt that being a single mother was not socially acceptable.
