when creating a chart in astro.com it seems to have a maximum of asteroids you can add..
i added like 30 asteroids, and only a few show up ..why? is it because i check aspect lines to all?

Hi,

You can only add 10 asteroids at a time on one chart at astro. Under Additional Objects they have their own list of 16 objects that you can select and add to a chart.

Below this there's an empty box in which you can fill in asteroid #s (10 at the most), each separated by only a comma (no space).

As for asteroid lists, you can google them on the LL search engine. You'll have to decide what kind you're looking for and choose accordingly.

Hope this helps

Hi there. Another amazing site to utilize is www.serennu.com

Using the ephemeris program there, you can enter birth data and get a list of the position of 1000 asteroids. You can sort by name of asteroid, or by degree. You can see a circle chart of positions of 100 or so major bodies; you can get a list of all aspects to those bodies, and a list of transits happening from any point in time (down to the second) to your chart; as well as compare aspects between two charts. --Pretty remarkable resource, and for free (donations accepted).

(However, I do find that in using their "Additional Objects" feature entering more than one asteroid numbers results in error messages.)

As far as lists of asteroids, here is a wikipedia page, listing all the known, named asteroids/minor planets (currently over 17,000 I think) with a brief description of the meaning (origin) of the name:

Meanings of Minor Planet Names

Also, there is a useful list of relationship asteroids here http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum28/HTML/000906.html if you haven't seen it already.
